Florida State Board of Administration, TH Real Estate, Savills IM, Rockspring, CBRE, CREFC, Barwood Capital

Florida State Board of Administration – Michael Fogliano has been appointed senior portfolio manager for the SBA’s externally managed real estate portfolio of pooled funds and REITS. Fogliano, who started at the SBA on 22 June, will report to Stephen Spook, senior investment officer for real estate. Fogliano was head of underwriting at Aegon USA Realty Advisors’ Real Estate Private Equity Group (Aegon) in Iowa. He joined Aegon in 2003.

TH Real Estate – Nicole Mitchell has joined as director in London, leaving Schroders, while Shawn Lese has joined from Grosvenor as head of business development in New York. Carsten Kebbedies has been appointed head of business development in Asia-Pacific, based in Singapore. Kebbedies relocates from TH Real Estate’s Frankfurt office. The trio will report to TH Real Estate’s head of global business development, Austin Mitchell.

Savills Investment Management – James Bury has been named COO. Bury will also join the firm’s executive board. His responsibilities will include risk, compliance, HR, IT and other operations. James joins Savills Investment Management from Pradera, where he was chief executive since 2012. Bury was previously a director at JER Partners and a director of property at Henderson Global Investors. Savills has also appointed Peter Brostrom as head of the Nordic region. He replaces Hakan Blixt. Brostrom joined Cordea Savills as transactions manager in 2008. He was promoted to director of investment and became portfolio manager for the Nordic Retail Fund last year. Hélène Henning, who joined the firm in 2012, has been named head of asset management to further strengthen its Nordic operations.

Rockspring – José Luis Pellicer and Michael Pryer have joined the firm’s management board. Pellicer joined Rockspring in 2011 as head of research. Pryer joined Rockspring in 2004.

CBRE – Marco Rampin and Tim Ryan will join the firm as head of debt and structured finance Europe and head of strategic advisory for corporate finance, respectively. Rampin joins from BNP Paribas’s Corporate Investment Banking department in September. He has also held roles at AIG and Lend Lease. Ryan joins next month from JP Morgan in Australia, where he was managing director and head of real estate.

CREFC Europe – Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking’s Madeleine McDougall will become CREFC’s next chairman. She will begin her one-year term on 9 November. McDougall is currently Lloyds Bank’s head of institutional clients in the commercial real estate business.

Barwood Capital – Andrew Barlow has been named as director, with responsibility for sourcing and managing new investments alongside Ed Henson for the Barwood Property Fund 2015. Barlow was most recently at MEPC and has also worked for King Sturge and ING Real Estate.
