Macquarie – Ralf Nöcker has been appointed managing director of real estate in Europe. Nöcker will head up the company’s new investment programme. He was previously at Tristan Capital Partners, where he was managing director of the German Properties Performance Partners Fund.

Blackstone – Funds managed by Blackstone and Black Rhino have appointed Muhammad Sanusi II to Black Rhino’s board of directors as chairman. Black Rhino, formed in 2012, develops and invests in infrastructure projects in sub-Saharan Africa’s power generation and fuel transportation sectors.

DTZDanny Kinnoch has been appointed director in the advisory firm’s EMEA International Capital Markets team. Kinnoch joins from Savills’s pan-European investment team. He will report to department head Paul Boursican in London. The company has also recruited three staff to its data centres team. Senior director Mark Trevor, director Begoña Cerdan and associate director Michael Hunter will be based at DTZ’s UK headquarters.

GL HearnSally Davis has been appointed senior planner in its Bristol planning team. Davis, who has worked for Colliers and PCL Planning, will focus on promoting residential sites, submitting planning applications and securing consent for proposed developments.

Madison International Realty – Andrew Schaffler has been appointed to the newly created position of director of listed real estate securities. Schaffler, a portfolio manager at Cohen Steers, a specialist in listed real estate strategies, will oversee all listed activities from the New York office.

Knight FrankMike Windle, Stephen Springham and Oliver Petch have been appointed to the company’s retail platform. Windle joins from Praxis Real Estate Management. Springham has been appointed as head of retail research and joins from analytics firm Planet Retail. Petch has joined as a surveyor from Robert Irving and Burns.
