Norwegian Government Pension Fund Global – Three advisors have been appointed to give counsel on investments in real assets, as the sovereign wealth fund seeks to increase its real estate investments and move into unlisted infrastructure. Leo de Bever, the former chief executive of Alberta Investment Management, Stijn Van Nieuwerburgh of New York University and Richard Stanton from the University of California will advise the fund as it reviews its investment policy.

UBS Global Asset Management Colin Humphries has been appointed as assistant portfolio manager for the Participating Mortgage Real Estate Fund (PREMF). Humphries will focus primarily on the fund’s lending activity (origination, underwriting and monitoring) as it deploys the capital raised so far. For the past 20 years, he was focused on real estate debt in the UK and the Netherlands. Before joining UBS, Humphries was business development director at Canada Life Investments. He has also held senior debt structuring roles at Aareal Bank, Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Schroder Property Investment management.

Ivanhoé CambridgeNathalie Palladitcheff has been appointed executive vice president and chief financial officer. Palladitcheff, who has been serving as acting chief executive officer since February, was previously in charge of finance at Icade since 2007.

Allianz Real Estate – Annette Kröger has been appointed CEO for Germany, taking over from Stefan Brendgen, who left last year. Kröger has worked for Allianz since July 2009, starting as head of Investment management, and subsequently also being appointed head of international asset management. Before Kröger moved to Allianz, she worked at Goldman Sachs in the UK and Germany.

The British Council of Shopping CentresJohn Coyne has been appointed chief executive. Coyne is currently interim managing director of Improving Health Limited, a federation of doctors’ surgeries. Before that, he was commercial director for Action for Children, a national children’s charity. BCSC also announced the resignation of Suzi Clay (portfolio director, Land Securities) as vice president. Mark Bourgeois (executive director, Capital & Regional), currently BCSC junior vice president, will become vice president with immediate effect. Giulia Bunting (planning director, GL Hearn) has been announced as junior vice president.

M&G Real EstateKerry Williams is joining the business as retail investment director. Williams, who will be responsible for sourcing retail sector acquisitions in the out of town, high street and leisure sectors, joins from Colliers International.

CenterSquare Investment Management – The BNY Mellon firm has appointed Joe Gyourko, Brian Schneider and Frank Sullivan Jr, a founder of Clarion Partners, to its advisory board. Gyourko is director of the Zell/Lurie Real Estate Center at Wharton. Schneider is a former managing director at Medley Partners in San Francisco.

Addleshaw Goddard – The legal firm has appointed six new real estate partners in London and Manchester. Colette Withey, Catherine Fearnhead, Andrew Williamson, Andrew Martin, Gary Sector and Anna Heaton take up their new positions next month. The move is part of 18 partner promotions across the firm.

SavillsWouter Stevens and Mans Vroom have been appointed in the Netherlands as director and associate director of office agency respectively. Wouter has worked at DTZ and most recently CBREMans has worked at CBRE for the past five years. Both will focus on further strengthening the agency activities in Amsterdam.

JCRA Andrew Simmons has joined the London-based firm as a director in its real estate team. Simmons will be responsible for structuring finance mandates from origination to completion. Prior to joining JCRA, Simmons worked as a finance director at a UK charity and has also worked as a partner at Brookfield Financial.
