Peakside Capital – Founding partner Roger Barris is stepping down from his operational role at the firm. Barris, who founded Peakside in 2010 with Stefan Aumann and Boris Schran, will continue as a senior advisor and investment committee member.
USAA RealCo – Sabine Bentvelzen has joined the firm as senior analyst in the Netherlands. The firm’s Dutch office opened in July last year. Bentvelzen will report to David Buck, head of European operations. Bentvelzen was previously commercial director for Dutch commercial real estate investment management firm, Ericis.
KGAL – Klaus Wolf and Stefan Ziegler have been appointed to the management team. Wolf will be responsible for legal, structuring and strategic research as chief investment officer. Ziegler is taking the position of chief operating officer. Martin Baranowski, Michael Ebner, Jochen Hörger and André Zücker have been appointed as managing directors of KGAL Investment Management.
Hansainvest – Marc Driessen has been appointed as a manager. Driessen, who will join in June, will be responsible for real estate fund management. He was previously managing director of Hamburg Asset Management.
Aberdeen Asset Management – William Shaw has been appointed to the direct property team as head of segregated property mandates in Asia Pacific. Shaw was most recently consultant in Hong Kong. He has worked for Everview Capital Partners, Composition Capital Partners, Lowe Enterprises Asia and Cushman & Wakefield.
CBRE Global Investors – John Mulqueen has been appointed head of transactions in EMEA. Mulqueen has worked for the company for the past 18 months as head of value-add UK. Prior to CBRE Global Investors, he was at Hammerson. Mulqueen will chair EMEA transaction meetings and report to Sophie van Oosterom.
Target Advisers – Paul Wylie has joined as a portfolio manager responsible for post-completion management of investments. Wylie joins from Ignis Asset Management. He has also worked as a fund manager for Aberdeen Property Investors. Helen Morrow has been appointed financial accountant. Morrow joins from Chapman Consulting Group in Singapore. Kim Liddell has joined Target as personal assistant to managing partner, Kenneth MacKenzie.
UBS Real Estate – Andreas Langer has been appointed as a director of the firm’s logistics funds. Langer will manage the ERGO Trust Fund Logistics Fund 1 and UBS German Logistics Property Fund. Prior to joining UBS, he worked for six years at IVG Institutional Funds.
