PREA, Patrizia Immobilien, CBRE Global Investors, Allianz Real Estate
Pension Real Estate Association (PREA) – The association has announced its officers and board of directors for 2015-16. Tom Arnold of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority is chairman, while Eric Lang of the Teacher Retirement System of Texas will serve as vice-chairman. New board directors include David Gilbert (Clarion Partners), Steven Hason (APG Asset Management US) and Jodie McLean (EDENS). Jeffrey Barclay of Goldman Sachs is treasurer, while Allison Yager (Mercer Investment Consulting) will serve as secretary. Edgar Alvarado of Allstate Investments is chairman of PREA’s institutional investor council’s executive committee.
Patrizia Immobilien – The firm has opened an office in Iberia. Borja Goday has been appointed as head of the new subsidiary. Goday will be responsible for the firm’s activity in the real estate markets in Spain and Portugal. He has worked in investment banking at JP Morgan, residential and hotel project development at Sotogrande and NH Hotels Group, as well as private equity at O’Connor Capital Partners. He has also worked for KPMG as director and head of M&A real estate.
CBRE Global Investors – Gautier Beurnier has been appointed head of transactions in France. Beurnier will be responsible for pan-European and domestic funds and international clients. Gautier was most recently chief executive of French real estate developer and asset management company ATEMI. He also worked for Unibail in Paris, as well as Marsh in New York.
Allianz Real Estate – Julia Marciano has joined as head of loan asset management of European debt. Marciano, who will report to head of European real estate finance, Roland Fuchs, will be based in the firm’s Paris office. Marciano has worked for IPD in France and the UK, as well as Deutsche Pfandbriefbank and Helaba in Paris.
