ABP - Henk Brouwer has announced that he is to step down as chairman, citing personal reasons. An ABP spokeswoman said Brouwer’s last day would be 1 June. Brouwer had started a four-year period as chairman in January 2012.

Patrizia Immobilien - The German investor has recruited Peter Helfrich as managing director of a new Dutch office. Helfrich will be based in Amsterdam and joins the firm from CBRE Global Investors. Patrizia said it will look to recruit more staff for the new office in the coming months.

Hermes Real Estate - Edward Sellick has been appointed as a senior asset manager and Charles Flather appointed as an investment surveyor. Sellick joins from M&G Real Estate and has also worked for Aviva and JLL. Flather previously worked at Bidwells.

Cushman & Wakefield - Ben Roberts has been appointed as head of the agency’s Manchester office. Roberts previously ran his own company, Torran Property Investment. He has also worked for Kenmore, CBRE and Knight Frank.

In Germany, Cushman & Wakefield has recruited Cita Miriam Groom to its retail investment team. Groom was previously at JLL in Frankfurt.
