Bouwinvest, Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers, UBS Global Asset Management, Savills Investment Management
Bouwinvest – The Dutch pension fund investor has promoted Cathelijne Martin to regional manager Europe, replacing Jeroen Winkelman who is leaving to join TH Real Estate next month. Martin previously managed part of the portfolio in Europe and the US. Robert Koot, formerly head of research, has been appointed portfolio manager of Europe and North America. Stephen Tross, managing director of international investments, said the appointments were made to support its plans to invest up to €1bn by taking “larger stakes in fund managers and listed firms to give us more influence over their strategies” and “allocating more capital outside of the Netherlands”.
Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers – Joy Winterfield joins as managing director of global portfolio management in Chicago and will also form part of the firm’s global executive team. Albert Yang joins as managing director and head of business development for Europe in London. Both join next month. Winterfield joins the firm after eight years at Allstate Investments. Yang joins Cornerstone after four years at JP Morgan Asset Management. He has also held positions at Henderson Global Investors, Schroder Property Investment Management and Deutsche Property Asset Management.
UBS Global Asset Management – Peter Röhrenbach has been named regional head of Benelux, France, Iberia and the Nordics. He will relinquish his role as head of Iberia with immediate effect and continue to be based in Madrid. He joined UBS in 2003 and set up the Iberian real estate business. Before joining UBS, Röhrenbach worked for Lend Lease. UBS said Jesùs Silva Gallardo will become head of Iberia.
Savills Investment Management – Andreas Trumpp has been appointed head of research. Based in Germany, he will report to Irfan Younis, associate director, research and strategy. He joins from Colliers International in Germany, where he was head of research.
