EQTHenry Steinberg has assumed the role of global head of EQT Exeter. Ward Fitzgerald, founder and global head of EQT Exeter, has decided to step down. Matthew Brodnik, CIO of North American industrial, assumes the role of global CIO of EQT Exeter. Since founding the firm nearly 20 years ago, Fitzgerald has, together with EQT, led EQT Exeter to become a global real estate investment manager with nearly $30bn of equity under management. Steinberg, who currently serves as president of EQT Exeter North America, brings decades of experience across real estate investment, development, management, and leasing. Steinberg joined EQT Exeter over 15 years ago and has been instrumental in the growth of the business.

EuropaAqil Nagji has been appointed fund management director. Nagji will be based in London and work initially as deputy fund manager alongside Simon Hooper, who is retiring at the end of the year, to ensure an orderly handover, before taking over Hooper’s responsibilities as fund manager. In this role, Nagji will support Amirali Kasraie as head of investment management across all of our funds. Nagji joins Europa after over five years at Patrizia where he was a fund manager overseeing both value-add and core strategies. In addition, Nagji was deputy fund manager for two fully discretionary funds investing on a pan-European basis and across sectors. Prior to Patrizia, Nagji was a financial analyst at Granite Real Estate Investment Trust, having previously spent almost three years from 2015 to 2018 at Deloitte.  

Jera NexZlati Christov has been appointed CIO. Christov was a managing director at Morgan Stanley where he had responsibility for renewable energy and energy transition investment banking client coverage in EMEA. 

Scape GroupMartijn Vos has been appointed CEO Europe for the firm’s flagship brands, Scape and Morro. He joins from Abu Dhabi Investment Council, where he served as head of real estate Europe, providing strategic direction to the European portfolio and leading international joint ventures, SMA’s and fund investments. Prior to that, he held senior portfolio management roles at APG Asset Management, where he was instrumental in sourcing and managing corporate and private real estate investments across Europe with a focus on operationally intense real estate.

Asana Partners – The retail-focused real estate private equity firm has promoted Clare Walsh to managing director. Walsh will oversee retail leasing strategy and execution in addition to her continued role on the firm’s investment committee. Walsh joined Asana Partners in 2018 as director — leasing strategy and has more than 14 years of experience in retail leasing. Prior to joining Asana Partners, Walsh was a senior leasing representative at Brookfield Properties Retail Group, where she led restaurant leasing efforts in the Western region. Prior to that, Walsh worked for EDENS, where she was responsible for retail leasing efforts in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Arrow Capital Partners – The investor, developer and manager of real estate in Europe and Asia-Pacific, has appointed Cormac Dunne as head of transactions, Europe. In this role, Dunne will be responsible for originating investment opportunities across Europe, with particular focus on the UK, Netherlands, Spain, Germany, Nordics and Ireland, working closely with Arrow’s regional European heads and local teams to originate transactions for its five key growth strategies. Dunne will be based in Arrow’s London office. In his previous role at Arrow as head of Ireland, Dunne sourced and acquired a value-accretive Irish portfolio for Arrow’s SIRE joint venture.

QualitasDarren Steinberg, the recently retired CEO of Dexus, will join the board of Qualitas as an independent non-executive director. Steinberg will sit on the board nomination, remuneration and culture committee as well as the investment committee upon appointment. At Dexus, Steinberg was also the executive director of Dexus funds management. He will take up his appointment to the board with effect from 1 October 2024 and will stand for election at Qualitas’s AGM in November.    

Godwin Developments – The UK property developer has appointed Yuved Bheenick residential development director. Joining the experienced team at Godwin’s central St James’s Square office, he will be responsible for driving the growth of the company’s residential development portfolio across the country. Prior to joining Godwin, he held senior roles at leading residential developers such as Places for People, Vistry Group, Linden Homes and Taylor Wimpey.

Real ISFranz Krewel has been appointed to the management board. Krewel will be responsible for the areas of investment and asset management as well as ESG. In his recent position, Krewel was board member at Swiss Life Asset Managers Germany with responsibility for asset management and transactions in the residential, office, healthcare and retail. Prior to this, he had various managerial roles within the CORPUS SIREO Group and was responsible for special projects in Germany and Luxembourg. Krewel has held management positions in the real estate sector for about twenty years.  

The Dot GroupHelene Williamson has joined the student living firm as global people director. Williamson will be instrumental in shaping and executing human resource strategies that align with The Dot Group’s vision of being the global leader in student living. Williamson joins from AllSaints, where she served as the global people and culture director for close to six years. Prior to her role at AllSaints, Williamson was the head of Ttlent at New Look, where she was responsible for all talent functions internationally.
