Aviva Investors – George Richards has been appointed director and investment manager within the firm’s real estate equity investment team to drive the growth of its industrial and urban logistics strategy. Richards joins from CBRE Investment Management, where he served as portfolio manager for a corporate pension scheme client and assistant fund manager on the CBRE UK Property Fund. In his new role, he will support Aviva Investors’ target of scaling its industrial strategy and managing its 450,000 sq ft industrial development pipeline, focusing on asset performance, co-investments and strategic leasing partnerships across key UK schemes.
Greystar – Michael Stapf has been appointed MD - development, Germany & Austria to lead the firm’s strategy. Stapf joins Greystar from LBBW Immobilien Development, where he served as MD, overseeing the company’s project portfolio. He previously held the role of CIO and MD at International Campus and spent 18 years at Groß & Partner. In his new role, he will support Greystar’s target of identifying new opportunities and delivering the next phase of its growth, focusing on bringing forward new development opportunities and strengthening relationships with local partners across Germany and Austria.
MUFG EMEA – Bénédicte de Giafferri has been appointed managing director and head of digital infrastructure coverage for EMEA. De Giafferri joins from Natixis, where she spent 16 years, most recently serving as head of real assets worldwide origination. She previously held positions at the European Investment Bank and Dexia Crédit Local. In her newly created role, she will support MUFG EMEA’s target of building out its digital infrastructure coverage across EMEA, focusing on data centre transactions and supporting clients with funding diversification across corporate, securitisation and project financing structures.
Mountpark – Craig Hughes has been appointed CEO to lead the firm’s strategy. Hughes joins Mountpark from PwC, where he served as global real estate leader, and previously held the role of head of real estate, hospitality & construction for the UK and Ireland at EY. In his new role, he will support Mountpark’s target of advancing its development strategy and continued growth, focusing on strengthening operations and supporting disciplined growth across key European logistics markets.
KGAL – Andreas Trumpp has been appointed as head of the research division, where he will oversee the group’s research capabilities across real estate, sustainable infrastructure and aviation asset classes. Trumpp joins from Neoshare and its subsidiary PTXRE, where he served as senior director and head of market intelligence & foresight and previously held the role of managing director and head of market intelligence & foresight at Colliers. With over 20 years of experience, he also spent seven years at Savills IM, where he served as head of research & strategy Europe. In his new role, he will support KGAL’s target of refining its investment strategies and identifying key market trends early to inform institutional capital allocation decisions across real assets.
JLL – Kristy Hwang has joined JLL Taiwan as head of its capital markets business. Hwang brings over 30 years of experience across investment, asset management and capital markets in Taiwan and the US. Most recently, she served as executive vice president and head of real estate at Taiwan Life Insurance. Previously, as managing partner at CapitaLink Investment Advisors. She also spent seven years at CBRE Taiwan, where she built and led the Investment Properties and Agency Services teams, representing institutional clients including GIC, Citibank and major insurance companies.
American Healthcare REIT – Aric Chang has been appointed CEO. Chang joins from Public Storage, where he served as chief financial officer of real estate, overseeing corporate finance, financial planning and capital deployment. He previously held senior positions at Rexford Industrial, Rouse Properties and JP Morgan Asset Management, where he served as executive director and real estate investment committee member. In his new role, he succeeds retiring chief financial officer Brian Peay and will support American Healthcare REIT’s target of strengthening its capital allocation capabilities, expanding its senior housing platform and driving long-term value creation.
Knight Frank – Frank Albers has been appointed managing partner of its Berlin office. Albers joins from Grundkontor Projekt, where he served as a member of the executive board, and previously held senior leadership roles at Colliers International, Jones Lang LaSalle and EY real estate. In his new role, he succeeds retiring managing partner Hanns-Joachim Fredrich and will support Knight Frank’s target of driving European expansion, strengthening its German service offering and capturing domestic and international private capital flows.
Newmark Polska – Søren Rodian Olsen has been appointed as executive board director and head of capital markets, where he will oversee the firm’s capital markets advisory practice, real estate strategies and investment transactions across Poland and the CEE region. Olsen joins from Urban Partners, where he served as director and board member establishing its Warsaw office, and previously held the role of partner and head of capital markets at Cushman & Wakefield. With over 20 years of experience, he also spent several years at Aberdeen Immobilien, where he established a track record as Poland country head following earlier senior management roles at Commerzbank and Bank Austria Creditanstalt. In his new role, he will support Newmark Polska’s target of expanding its European service offering and strengthening its advisory position across commercial real estate markets.
Greenberg Traurig – Rose Schlichtmann-Prince has been appointed as shareholder in the Washington, DC and Miami offices, where she will advise on network infrastructure investments and complex commercial transactions involving digital infrastructure assets. Schlichtmann-Prince joins from Meta Platforms, where she served as senior infrastructure & telecom counsel, and previously held legal and business roles with Verizon Communications, Cable & Wireless Communications and Sprint. With over 15 years of experience, she also spent nearly a decade at Meta Platforms, where she established a track record advising on global digital infrastructure platform initiatives, subsea fiber networks, and data centre connectivity. In her new role, she will support Greenberg Traurig’s target of expanding its digital infrastructure platform and advising clients on cross-border deployments and transactions.
Hub International – Sarah Thompson has been appointed national real estate practice leader for Canada to lead the firm’s strategy. Thompson steps into the position from internal subsidiary HUB Coastal, where she served as chief marketing officer, having previously held the role of VP of marketing and real estate. With more than 14 years of experience at HUB, she also spent several years as associate VP of the Strata division. In her new role, she will support Hub International’s target of strengthening cross-border capabilities and expanding its real estate footprint, focusing on driving proprietary product development and delivering an integrated North American strategy for clients across Canada and the US.
Turner & Townsend – Nima Nicolas Aase has been appointed regional managing director for Europe. Aase joins from his previous role as managing director for the Nordics at Turner & Townsend, where he served for more than a decade and established teams across Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland. In his new role, he will support Turner & Townsend’s target of accelerating its European growth agenda and expanding its project and cost management capabilities under the leadership of EMEA managing director Patricia Moore.
Sound Point Capital Management – Faris AbiNader has been appointed head of real estate capital formation for the commercial real estate credit business, where he will oversee institutional capital raising and investor relations. AbiNader joins Cerberus Capital Management, where he served as a managing director, and previously held senior business development roles at Ellington Management and EnTrust Global. In his new role, he will support Sound Point Capital Management’s target of scaling its commercial real estate credit platform and expanding its institutional investor base globally.
