JP Morgan Asset Management – Justin Heller has joined the firm as managing director and portfolio manager as part of the net lease strategy for the real estate Americas platform. Heller joins JP Morgan from TPG Angelo Gordon, where he served as a managing director and a member of the firm’s investment committee. Heller will be responsible for identifying, acquiring and managing net lease real estate properties for JP Morgan, a role made possible by the firm’s acquisition of Trio Investment Group late last year. Prior to TPG Angelo Gordon, Heller was a senior consultant at FTI Consulting where he was responsible for creating recovery models, evaluating creditor recoveries and preparing valuations for multiple sectors in New York for the restructuring business.
Vantage Data Centers – Jeremy Deutsch has joined the company as president, APAC. In his new role, Deutsch will drive Vantage’s regional growth, including strategy, market development, sales, construction and operations. He will report to Jeff Tench, executive vice president, North America and APAC. Deutsch joins the company from Equinix where he served in a variety of roles over the last 20 years, most recently as president of APAC since 2019. Previously, Deutsch held positions at leading ICT companies, including Unwired Australia and Pihana Pacific before it was acquired by Equinix in 2002. Deutsch served as the inaugural chair of the Asia-Pacific Data Centre Association.
I Squared Capital – Guillaume Pepy, former CEO of French national rail group SNCF, is joining the firm as a senior policy advisor. At SNCF, he served as CEO from 2008 to 2019. In addition to his management role at SNCF, Pepy has served in other positions including chairman of Eurostar and deputy chairman of Keolis Group. Pepy has also served in various civil service positions in the French government including deputy general secretary of Conseil D’Etat and chief of staff to ministers of civil service and labour.
Nuveen Real Estate — Morten Olesen has been appointed senior director, head of housing and alternatives in Germany, building on the firm’s track record in the European living sector. Olesen will be responsible for overseeing the expansion of Nuveen Real Estate’s residential and alternatives platform in Germany, sourcing and executing investment opportunities across the risk spectrum in the region. Based in Frankfurt, Olesen will report to Jasper Gilbey, head of housing and alternatives in Europe. Olesen joins Nuveen after more than a decade at FFIRE Immobilienverwaltung. Prior to this, he held roles at Deutsche Annington and with Speymill Group as an investment manager.
CBRE Investment Management — Ben van den Tol has been appointed director, client solutions. Van den Tol will be responsible for leading client solutions for the UK defined contribution market, including building bespoke solutions across private and listed real estate and infrastructure.
Hines – Jonathan Pearce has joined the firm as senior managing director. Pearce will lead leasing efforts and tenant engagement strategies across Canada, and broader Americas customer centricity efforts. Pearce joined Hines after approximately ten years at Ivanhoé Cambridge, where he was head of US investments for office and life sciences and, prior to that, EVP of leasing and development. Thomas Ummels has been appointed managing director and head of development and construction for the Netherlands. Prior to joining Hines, Ummels worked as chief development officer for Dutch real estate developer EDGE, spending 20 years in various roles focused on development and construction.
Knight Frank – Craig Shute as CEO of Asia-Pacific, effective 1 April 2025. Shute is currently CEO of the Greater China business and will be taking over from Kevin Coppel who will retire from the partnership in March 2025. Shute joined Knight Frank last year and has more than 25 years of experience in the real estate industry, having held senior leadership roles across Australia, Malaysia, Hong Kong SAR, and the US. Prior to joining Knight Frank, Shute served as the managing director of JLL in Victoria, Australia, and previously led CBRE’s operations in Hong Kong SAR and Taiwan from 2008 to 2016.
BTIG – Sumon Chaudhuri has joined the financial services firm as a managing director within its energy, infrastructure and transportation investment banking group. Chaudhuri will collaborate with existing banking and product teams to offer strategic advisory services across all sub-verticals within the energy industry including traditional oil and gas, clean technology and energy transition. Sumon will be based in Houston and will also have regional banking coverage responsibilities in Texas. Chaudhuri brings more than 15 years of experience to BTIG. Most recently, he was a managing director in Bank of America Securities’ energy practice in Houston. Prior to that, Chaudhuri provided investment banking services within Jefferies’ energy practice in Houston.
M&G Real Estate – David Askham has been appointed to lead the firm’s Asia Pacific living business, which operates alongside its established UK and European living platforms. Askham holds the title of director of portfolio management, Asia living. He will be responsible for expanding the firm’s investments in the Asis Pacific living sector. He joined M&G Real Estate in London in 2001; and, in 2006, relocated to the Singapore office. Before joining M&G Real Estate, Askham served as an investment manager at St Martins Property Corporation.
Revelop — Nizar Mabrouk joins Revelop as real estate manager and brings experience in implementing value-add strategies across various asset categories in real estate with a focus on industrial. Mabrouk most recently worked at Areim as asset manager and previously at Newsec. Mathias Björnfot has been appointed leasing manager for Revelops co-working concept, C/O Workspace. With background at SkandiaMäklarna and Tesla, Björnfot will strengthen the C/O Workspace team, driving the continued development of Revelop’s innovative workspace solutions. Earlier this year, Cale Kubena joined as technical developer and project leader. Kubena brings expertise in technical management and property management, having previously worked at Lexium and Bravida.
General Projects — Rob Selwyn has joined the real estate developer and operator as asset manager from Derwent. Sam Stark who worked at Mileway has joined as portfolio analyst, Diogo Vicente Oliveira, who previously worked at Revantage has also joined as portfolio analyst. Joe Peake has been appointed development manager. Peake previously worked at the development management arm of Savills. Frederic Schwass has been promoted to chief development officer. Schwass joined General Projects in 2016. Adam Brady, who joined General Projects in 2021 from the Canary Wharf Group in 2021, becomes head of investment. Raquel Guirado Sanchez becomes creative director, focusing on the company’s wider brand strategy and proposition for end users.
