CBRE Investment Management – Vaughan Wallace has joined as managing director, private infrastructure strategies. Wallace will be responsible for managing and directing the investment process in the APAC region for investing in infrastructure assets and companies on behalf of our flagship strategy and other direct strategies. Wallace will be based in Sydney and report to Stephen Dowd, CIO private infrastructure strategies. Wallace will work with CBRE Investment Management’s direct infrastructure investments business leading direct infrastructure investments in the region. Prior to joining CBRE IM, Wallace spent more than three years at Amber Infrastructure, where he was responsible for leading Amber’s infrastructure investment business in the Asia Pacific region. Earlier in his career, Wallace was head of origination at Capella Capital and held senior roles at Babcock & Brown and ABN AMRO in both London and Sydney.
Enfinity Global – The renewable energy firm has appointed Hans Helmrich as its global head of operations. Helmrich recently served as chief operating officer at Acerinox. Helmrich’s career also spans key roles at multinational corporations, including Cooper Standard, Saica, Johnson Controls and Webasto.
Amro Partners – Leo Hertog has been appointed MD, CIO within the firm’s dedicated student housing arm Amro Student Living, to accelerate the firm’s growth within the European student housing sector and support its planned expansion into the UK student housing market in 2025. Hertog will also take on the interim role of acting co-head for Northern Europe alongside Pablo Garcia-Morales Osorio, replacing Rainer Nonnengässer who will depart the firm at the end of this year to take up a new position within the industry. Hertog was most recently a director of real estate at APG Asset Management. He was formerly a director of UK student housing provider Scape Living and managed the GCP Student Living take-private, alongside IQ and Blackstone.
Irwin Mitchell — Guy Sackett has been appointed lead the UK law firm’s real estate team and Garrath Reayer to lead residential property. Sackett is replacing Adrian Barlow, who is retiring from the partnership. Reayer has been appointed new head of residential property, following the retirement of Jeremy Raj earlier this year. Sackett joined the firm in 2015 following its merger with Thomas Eggar and is a real estate development lawye. Prior to his new national head role, he led the firm’s Southern real estate division. Reayer joined the firm in 2015 following its merger with Thomas Eggar and has over 25 years’ experience in the high net worth/ultra-high net worth London and South-East property markets.
Pegasus Real Estate Advisory — Dan Carr has been appointed vice president of asset management and Tyler Simpson has been appointed EVP of capital markets. Prior to joining Pegasus, Carr served as WeWork’s VP and head of leasing for the Southwestern US. Prior to joining Pegasus, Simpson was the director of capital markets for PPM.
