GeoPhy – Nils Kok has been appointed chief economist. Based in New York, Kok joins from GRESB, which he founded and left last year. Kok will head up the firm’s North American business, with GeoPhy launching Alpha, a dashboard for real estate reporting, analysis and portfolio management.
AXA Investment Managers-Real Assets – Steve McCarthy has been named head of North America and Aaron Kutner US director of acquisitions. Olivier Thoral, current head of North America, will return to the manager’s headquarters in Paris. McCarthy has for the last three years been US head of asset management and transactions. Kutner joins after six years at Clarion Partners.
Aviva Investors – Kris McPhail has been appointed assistant fund manager of the Lime Property Fund. Based in London, he joins from M&G Real Estate, where he was director within the investment team.
Swiss Life Asset Managers – Baudouin Demeure has been named as a senior advisor based in Bruxelles. As an exclusive representative for Belgium and Luxembourg, he will contribute to sourcing, due diligence of identified properties and asset management decisions. Demeure was previously in charge of Belgian investments on behalf of Swiss Life in Belgium, and has also worked as head of real estate investments for Delta Lloyd Belgium.
JLL – The advisory firm has acquired Geneva-based real estate consultancy Meridian Immobilier. The acquisition adds a team of 10 in Geneva. The new JLL branch office iwill be headed by Meridian’s founding partners, Pierre Stämpfli and Anna Briffod.
