Legal & General Affordable Homes – Anette Simpson has joined the business as director of developments and partnerships. Previously group planning director at Capital & Counties Properties, Simpson will lead and coordinate the direct delivery of Legal & General’s affordable housing schemes and oversee all aspects of development to legal completion.
CA Ventures – The $10.2bn Chicago-based real estate investment company has marked its entry into the Italian market with the appointment of Giuseppe Zafferri as managing director in Italy. Zafferri joins CA Ventures from Eurotekna Milan, an Italian real estate general partner, where he has spent the last 12 years, most recently as head of acquisition, project and construction management.
Cluttons – The property consultant has appointed Claire Collins as head of block management in London. Collins has over a decade of experience in the sector, with previous roles including head of property management at Currell Management, senior property manager at Braemar Estates and block property manager at Burlington Estates.
Cording Real Estate Group – Victoria Fitzgerald, Je Sie Ong and Louise Kerr have joined the company’s UK residential team. Fitzgerald has been appointed fund finance controller. She will be responsible for the accounting, investor reporting and regulatory reporting for Funding Affordable Homes social impact fund for which Cording has just been appointed as its property adviser. She joins from Man Group, where she was a fund accountant. Je Sie has been appointed fund finance manager. She joins from Grant Thornton, where she was an audit executive. Kerr has been appointed investment analyst in the UK residential fund management business. She joins from JLL’s living capital markets team.
AMP Capital – Mark Kirkland has been named head of the manager’s retail real estate business to lead retail development and asset creation. Marco Ettorre, currently acting head of retail at Lendlease, will join AMP Capital as head of retail and investments. The new roles are effective January 2020.
Cushman & Wakefield – Tricia Trester has been appointed head of enterprise sales in EMEA, a newly-created leadership role within the real estate services firm’s global occupier services business. Trester relocates to London from Cushman & Wakefield’s office in Chicago, US where she has been an integral contributor to the global occupier services team in the Americas region since 2013.
ActivumSG – Luis Miguel Martín has joined the real estate investor as managing director to help grow the firm’s funds’ Spanish hotel portfolio. He joins from Azora Capital, where he worked for a decade on a variety of hotel strategies. Martín began his career at Arthur Andersen, training as an accountant and joining its tourism and hotels team. After six years he moved to Starwood Hotels and Resorts, where he was involved in every aspect of hotel investment and management.
GTI Statia – The crude and refined product storage terminals company has named John Roller as president and CEO, Jim Calvert as chief commercial officer, and Karen Vázquez as CFO. The appointments follow the acquisition of the GTI Statia terminal facility from NuStar Energy by Prostar Capital on 30 July this year. Roller has been with NuStar since 1988. Most recently, Roller had been the VP marketing and business development of NuStar’s US storage terminals. Calvert also has a long history with the GTI Statia facility. Since 2008, Calvert had been VP of international business development for NuStar. Vázquez has more than 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, having served most recently as VP of finance and controller, Latin America for Andeavor Corporation.
Tritax Big Box REIT – Karen Whitworth has been appointed non-executive director of the company. Whitworth has also be appointed as a member of board committees. Most recently, Whitworth spent 10 years at J Sainsbury, latterly as a member of the commercial board and director of non-food grocery and new business for three years, and formerly as supply chain director and director of group internal audit. She is currently a non-executive director of East Anglian based commercial property firm Whitworth Corporate Holdings.
