AMP Capital – Olivier Heinen and Eddy Frances have joined the investment manager’s infrastructure debt team as associates in London and New York respectively. Heinen joins from CIBC Capital Markets, where he was an analyst covering project and acquisition finance transactions in the infrastructure sector. Prior to that, he was a credit analyst at Moody’s. Prior to joining AMP Capital, Frances worked at Citigroup as an investment banking associate.
Edmond de Rothschild – Ralf Kind has been hired to head real estate debt. Kind was previously CEO/CFO of DEMIRE Deutsche Mittelstand Real Estate and CEO of Fair Value REIT. In 2013, he founded Arbireo Capital, an investment manager and advisory firm in the German real estate market. Prior to that, he spent 12 years at Barclays Capital, in Frankfurt and London, where he worked in the structured finance team and later led the real estate investment banking team in the DACH region. He started his career at PwC in Tokyo in 1998.
Colliers International Group – Kevin P Morgan has joined commercial real estate services and investment management firm as president, northwest region US. In his new role, Morgan will lead Colliers’ operations and business strategy in the region, with a focus on developing, recruiting and retaining top professionals and providing clients with the highest level of service. Morgan joins from Crystal Lagoons, where he served as executive vice president and CEO. Prior to this role, Morgan held national and international senior leadership positions with The real estate manager John Buck Company.
Reed Smith – Colin Baker will join the firm as a partner in its financial industry group, which focuses on lending to private equity, credit, infrastructure, real estate and secondary funds. Baker, who joins from Goodwin Procter, will be based in London. Baker has particular experience across a wide range of fund level finance and also advises a number of financial institutions, asset managers and private equity houses on real estate and private equity financings.
Impax Asset Management – The specialist asset manager has appointed Casey Forester to the sales team for Impax’s private equity infrastructure strategy. Forester joins from Foresight Group where she was a senior manager in the institutional capital team. Prior to joining Foresight, she was a relationship manager at Quest Fund Placement. Casey also previously worked in several sales roles at Barclays Capital.
CBRE Global Investors – The $107bn real asset investment management firm has hired Berkshire Group’s CEO Charles Leitner to replace global CEO Ritson Ferguson. Ferguson – who had informed the company of his intention to step down from the role – will remain as CEO of CBRE Clarion Securities, the real asset securities business he co-founded in 1991. Leitner served as president and CEO of US residential property specialist Berkshire since 2013. Prior to Berkshire, he served as global CEO of DWS’s RREEF. He currently serves as a trustee and member of the board and executive committee of Penn Medicine. He is a trustee of the Urban Land Institute, where he formerly served as chairman of the Greenprint Center for Building Performance.
Redevco – The pan-European real estate investment manager has appointed Manolito van Ardenne to the board in the position of CFO, effective 1 November. Van Ardenne succeeds Marcel Eggenkamp who left Redevco as of mid-August. Van Ardenne started his career with Redevco in 2006 as business controller after which he became group controller in 2011. In 2014, he became managing director fund management and fund director. Before joining Redevco Van Ardenne worked at KPMG business advisory services as financial and restructuring advisor.
Palace Capital – The London-listed property investment company has appointed Tom Hood as an asset manager. Hood joins following five years at Mansford where, in his most recent role as a director in their investment and asset management team, he was responsible for strategic asset management across a range of UK assets. He started his career as a graduate surveyor at GVA in 2008 before moving to BNP Paribas in 2013, where he was a senior surveyor.
