KKR – Jan Baumgart has joined KKR as director and head of real estate Germany. Baumgart will be responsible for property and platform transactions in Germany, the Netherlands and Scandinavia, focusing on real estate assets with attractive growth prospects. He joins KKR from Patrizia where he was responsible for the alternative investments. He started his career at Fortress Investment Group and AlixPartners.
Schroder Real Estate Investment Management – The manager has appointed Laurent Dubos head of France and Raphaël Berdot as investment manager within the real estate team in Paris. Dubos, who has been deputy head in France for almost two years, will focus on new investment and maximising investment performance across the various funds and client portfolios in France, Belgium and Luxembourg. Prior to joining the business in 2018, Dubos was managing director at French real estate developer Woodeum. Previously, he worked at AEW Europe, Cleaveland REIM, Unibail-Rodamco and Ernst & Young. Berdot will assist the team in the sourcing and execution of new investment opportunities. Prior to joining the company, he was at AEW Europe where he started as investment manager. Previously, he was asset manager at CBRE Global Investors from 2010 to 2014.
Ivanhoé Cambridge – Audrey Camus has been appointed vice president, development and asset management, Europe. She will be responsible for all development projects and asset management activities in key European markets, Germany, France and the UK. She began her career in 1998 at Icade, where she held several positions; recruited as a project manager, she was later appointed a special project advisor to the president. She was promoted to head of major projects in 2004 and director of development in 2005. She then moved to ING Real Estate Development France in 2006, as project director. In 2007, she joined Foncière des Régions as project director.
Patrizia – LaSalle Investment Management’s Mahdi Mokrane is joining Patrizia to head the real estate manager’s investment strategy and research. Mokrane will join the business in due course from LaSalle in London, where for the past six years he was head of European research and strategy. At Patrizia, Mokrane is expected to ”create greater interconnections” between the company’s investment solutions in Europe as well as globally through Patrizia Multi-Manager and with its client offices in North America and Asia-Pacific. Prior to joining LaSalle, he worked at AEW Europe, where he was head of research and strategy and a member of the company’s European investment committee as well as the global securities allocation committee.
Seyfarth Shaw – Ingrid C Manevitz has joined the law firm’s real estate litigation department in New York and as partner. Manevitz joins from Schwartz Sladkus Reich Greenberg Atlas, where she was a partner in its litigation and real estate groups in New York. She began her legal career at Wolf Haldenstein Adler Freeman & Hertz.
Gresham House – The specialist alternative asset manager has appointed Richard Staveley as managing director in its strategic public equity team. In this newly-created role, Staveley will work with the existing team, which will operate within the joint venture between Gresham House and Aberdeen Standard Investments. He will act as co-fund manager of funds within Gresham House’s strategic public equity division. He joins from Majedie Asset Management, where he spent six years running small companies’ investments within the group’s UK equity offering. Prior to this, he was a founding partner of River and Mercantile Asset Management. He has also served as head of UK small companies at Société Générale Asset Management.
Baytree Logistics Properties – Mark Urschel has been appointed senior technical director, Germany. He joins logistics building contractor GSE, where he held a number of senior roles including head of costing and purchasing.
Cluttons – The property consultant has appointed Chris Jakes as head of lease advisory and compulsory purchase to further boost its offer in this area. Jakes previously worked at CBRE and Kinney Green.
