Landsec – The real estate firm is commencing a search for a new CEO to replace Robert Noel in 2020. Noel, who joined Landsec in 2010, has informed the board of his intention to retire from the company. Noel will continue in his role until his successor is appointed and for an appropriate handover period.
Hines – The international real estate firm has appointed Robbie Pitman as managing director and head of development in the UK. The new role has been created as Hines continues to grow its development pipeline in the UK. Pitman spent three years in a construction and development role at Hines between 2008 and 2011, before leaving to join boutique property company Viridis Real Estate.
Astarte Capital Partners – Richard Templer and Bruno Fumach have join the real asset manager’s team in London as finance director and investment director respectively. Prior to joining Astarte, Templer worked in a finance role at AMP Capital on the global infrastructure funds. Before that, he managed the fund finance team of Hermes GPE. He also worked in the infrastructure and real estate finance team at Deutsche Bank. Most recently, Fumach was vice president of asset and capital structuring for Santander Corporate and Investment Banking in London. Prior to joining Santander, Fumach worked for Itaú BBA in São Paulo, where he worked in the structured finance team covering quasi-equity and securitisation transactions. Before this, he was part of the structured finance team at Blackwood, also in São Paulo.
Gresham House – The specialist alternative asset manager has appointed Catriona Buckley as institutional business development director. She joins Gresham House from Fidelity International, where she was responsible for manager research and field consultant engagement with global and domestic investment consultants in the UK, and for direct client relationships in Ireland. More latterly, Buckley held the position of investment director in the fixed income team at Fidelity. Before joining Fidelity, she was client director at Pioneer Investments, now Amundi.
Glenhawk – The UK property lender has appointed former Morgan Stanley head of residential mortgage trading Steven Khan as COO. Based in London, Khan will be responsible for driving the commercial growth of the company, with a focus on launching new products, as well as maximising operational procedures focused on new system and process implementation, alongside people management.
Prostar Capital – Garrett Sussman and Brooke Callaghan have been appointed head of portfolio management and head of investor relations respectively. Sussman was most recently at KPMG, where he was responsible for providing valuation and consulting services for infrastructure-related private equity clients, including advising Prostar for a period of more than three years. Callaghan was most recently at Apollo Management Holdings, where she worked with investors across Apollo’s real assets, private equity, and credit strategies.
