Federated HermesPaul Robinson has joined the investment manager’s real estate debt team as director of origination and structuring. In this newly created role, Robinson will report to Vincent Nobel, head of asset-based lending and will be responsible for driving the origination of lending opportunities, and design of customised loan structuring to ensure income capture and to deliver stable and consistent income distributions to investors over the long-term. Robinson joins having previously headed up the underwriting teams at Trimont Real Estate Advisors and Hudson Advisors. Prior to this Robinson held roles within the commercial real estate businesses of banks including Lloyds, Hypo Real Estate and Anglo Irish, having started his career at GE Capital.

Invel Real Estate – The Southern Europe private equity real estate firm has appointed Stamatis Sapkas as a partner. Sapkas will have a strategic role focused on origination and the successful implementation of the firm’s business plan. He joins Invel following a decade at Globalworth Real Estate Investments, where he served mainly as deputy CIO and CFO. Previously, Sapkas was a vice-president in the EMEA real estate and lodging team at Citigroup, London. Sapkas began his career in Greece at the real estate division of the Eurobank Group.

CenterSquare Investment ManagementScott Maguire has been appointed to the new role of global head of real estate securities solutions. Maguire formerly led CenterSquare’s investor relations team, serving in the position since 2018. He joined CenterSquare Investment Management in early 2007 and is a member of the firm’s senior leadership team. In his new role, he will continue to contribute to new business development initiatives with institutional investors and consultants and will help to further advance global marketing efforts around CenterSquare’s products and strategies.

Madigan CapitalLuke Briscoe has joined the Sydney-based commercial real estate debt manager to head up its funds management team. Briscoe was most recently group executive, investor solutions and head of capital and product development at ISPT. At Madigan, he will help drive the firm’s strategic funds management growth strategy in Australia and abroad. Briscoe has previously worked with AMP Capital, GPT and Charter Hall.

HMC Capital – Angela Karl has joined to head a newly launched energy transition platform. Karl will build up a team to work with her to source opportunities for the new platform, focusing initially on Australia. She was previously a partner at QIC Infrastructure. Prior to QIC, she was involved in mergers and acquisitions both at JP Morgan and UBS, where she was the Australasian head of energy and utilities advisory.

Richmond Bridge – Spiros Deftereos, formerly head of property with Hostplus, has joined the boutique real estate fund manager as its chief investment officer. Deftereos was with Hostplus for 11 years after joining the super fund from Lendlease where he held a product development role within the investment management division. Defteres has joined Richmond Bridge’s investment committee.

LeadCrest Capital Partners – Jean-François Bost has been promoted to managing director and head of investments, France and Benelux. Diego Vidal Ponte has been promoted to principal and head of investments, Southern Europe, and Jean-François Renson has been promoted to managing director and head of finance and accounting. Since joining LeadCrest in 2019, Bost has been involved in several transactions in France. Prior to joining LeadCrest, Bost worked at Oak Investment Management where he was responsible for executing opportunistic and core equity and debt transactions across various asset classes. Vidal Ponte is responsible for sourcing and executing sale-leaseback investments with a particular focus on that region. He joined LeadCrest in 2022. Prior to joining LeadCrest, Vidal Ponte worked for 7 years as an investment professional at Victoria Capital Partners. Prior to that, Vidal Ponte worked for 2 years at the corporate development team of Cresud. Prior to joining LeadCrest in 2021, Renson was senior manager, accounting and tax at Colony Capital. Before joining Colony Capital in 2018, Renson spent 10 years with PwC in Luxembourg.

True Green Capital ManagementWill Morgan has been appointed managing director for Europe as part of the firm’s European investment and growth strategy. Morgan brings a wealth of experience to further expand the firm’s investment strategy. Prior to joining True Green, Morgan spent over 9 years at Alpha Real Capital where he held the positions of fund manager and head of renewables setting up and then growing their distributed renewable energy infrastructure platform. Earlier in Morgan’s career, he acted as finance and portfolio director for Plenium Partners, Madrid, investing across European and international energy markets.

HeimstadenEva Møland Tørsleff is joining the European residential real estate manager as chief legal officer. She joins from Nordstern, where she was head of legal. She also previously worked at Plesner and Accura. She will be a part of the senior executive management team.

Bradford AllenMichael Cannon has joined the firm as senior managing director of development, overseeing adaptive reuse, renovation and new construction of residential and commercial real estate. Before joining Bradford Allen, Cannon was a vice president with Sterling Bay. Before Sterling Bay, Cannon served as senior development manager with Chicago-based Golub & Company. His other roles included founding Viridios and being project manager with ARCH Consultants.
