British Property Federation – BPF’s junior vice president David Partridge has been appointed to lead the newly created diversity and inclusivity advisory board. Partridge is also a managing partner of Argent. The board members include Piali Das Gupta, head of policy at Society of Local Authority Chief Executives and Senior Managers; Jill Pett, partner and executive coach with The Alexander Partnership; Matthew Powell, CEO of Breaking Barriers; and Kemi Oguntoye, property consultant at SAY Property Consulting. The diversity and inclusivity advisory board will drive forward the BPF’s strategy to foster a more diverse and inclusive property sector.
Ancala Partners – James Stoney and Mark Amor have joined Ancala Water Services as director of business development and head of water supply respectively. Stoney, who joins from KiWi Powers, will help to grow Ancala Water Service’s business and build upon the services already offered to the Defence Infrastructure Organisation and MoD. Amor joins the board from Severn Trent Services.
DWS – Thomas Kalthöfer has joined the asset manager’s global infrastructure investment business as an investment director. Based in London, Kalthöfer will join the pan European infrastructure investment team which currently manages the €2.5bn PEIF II fund. Kalthöfer worked for the past 14 years in M&A and corporate finance at Barclays.
M&G Real Estate – Laurien Van Wieringen, the former head of asset management for Benelux at Rockspring Property Investment Managers has joined the company. Van Wieringen has been appointed asset management director to lead M&G Real Estate’s Dutch office as part of a continued European growth plan. She will lead asset management initiatives and identify investment opportunities for the M&G European property fund. Van Wieringen has worked for Rockspring since 2007 and before that, she worked at IBUS, a Dutch property investment management company.
UBS Asset Management – Patrick Cunningham and Viktor Kozel have joined the company’s real estate and private markets business as head of infrastructure business development in the Americas and as infrastructure debt portfolio manager respectively. Cunningham was most recently a partner at McCarvill Capital Partners where he spent the past two years leading its private markets advisory and placement team. Prior to this, he held senior roles at investment houses, including Macquarie, Capital Dynamics and JP Morgan. Kozel joins in London from Deutsche Bank where he spent the past seven years working on debt transactions involving assets in the transportation, infrastructure and energy sectors. Prior to this, he supported business development activities at GMR Infrastructure. He also previously held a similar role at AES Corporation.
21st Real Estate – The Berlin-based property technology firm has hired Ralf Nöcker to help expand into real estate private equity. Nöcker has joined the firm in a non-executive senior advisory role. His objective is to introduce 21st and its suite of products to real estate private equity investors and help these clients digitise the process of acquiring real estate investments. Nöcker has worked for clients including Nomura, Corestate Capital Group, Tristan Capital and most recently Kildare Partners.
CapitalRise – Nick Oakley and Lior Zaidner have joined the online property finance marketplace as heads of lending and marketing respectively. Oakley was most recently at Castle Trust, the specialist lender, where he spent the past three years as director of structured finance. Before that, he worked at Arbuthnot Latham, the private bank, where he was director of structured lending. Zaidner joins from Cogress, the property-focused private equity platform, where he spent the past four years as marketing director.
Fieldfisher Jausas – Silvia López has joined the law firm as partner and as chief the company’s real estate department in Madrid. López joins from Spanish property developer Neinor Homes, where she worked as general counsel. She has also held executive positions in the legal departments of SAREB and Virgin Active, as well as having worked for law firms, Garrigues and DLA Piper.
Catella Real Estate – Dirk Fabianke has joined the company as head of institutional sales. From next year, Fabianke will be responsible for institutional sales in his role as head of client capital and client relations. He joins from HypoVereinsbank, where he has been head of institutional sales since 2014.
