BGO — Toby Phelps has been appointed co-president of BGO, partnering with co-president Amy Price in this role. Together, they will support co-CEOs John Carrafiell and Sonny Kalsi and the global management committee. Jonathan Epstein has been appointed head of US, supported by Steve Reents, who has been named deputy head of US and US CIO for all of the firm’s US equity funds and strategies. Francesco Ostuni has been named head of European equity and will continue his role as CIO for European equity.

Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners – Annabel Wiscarson has joined the firm as partner and global head of investor relations. In her new role at CIP, Wiscarson will build upon the existing structure and lead the global investor relations team. Her responsibilities will include supporting ongoing fundraising efforts, the launch of new products and the expansion of CIP’s global investor network. Wiscarson joins from a role as CEO at Low Carbon Investment Management. Prior to that she spent more than five years as managing director and head of investor relations at Global Infrastructure Partners. 

PolarBlueSimon Treacy, the former chief executive officer of private equity real estate at CapitaLand Investment, has joined the energy technology business as executive chairman. Treacy has previously held senior executive roles with BlackRock, Lendlease Corporation, Macquarie Bank /MGPA and Howard Hughes Corporation, in senior positions located in Asia, the US and Europe. In coming months, Treacy’s focus is to bring a global team together to deliver monthly fixed-price energy using PolarBlue’s ‘Smart Infrastructure’, developed to enable the delivery of scalable zero-emission energy at a cost lower than fossil fuels, renewables, and nuclear. Treacy has joined his former MGPA and BlackRock colleagues – Neil Jones and Stuart Greaves – who are the joint managing directors of PolarBlue, based in Singapore.

InfranityCaroline Kragerud has been appointed managing director, head of distribution and investor relations. Kragerud will be responsible for Infranity’s sales strategy and client relations, and will report to Philippe Benaroya, managing partner and CEO. Kragerud brings over 20 years of industry experience to the role, having recently held the position of partner and co-head of investor relations and fundraising at Omnes Capital, notably covering the North American and Asian markets. Prior to joining Omnes Capital, Kragerud was responsible for investor relations and fundraising at Cube Infrastructure Managers.

RedevcoEmma Huepfl has been appointed to the firm’s recently established real estate debt platform as a senior adviser and Rosalind Walker as senior associate. Huepfl will provide strategic advice and will also advise Redevco’s investment committee in debt investment activities. Huepfl brings considerable experience in real estate debt, having established Laxfield Capital and co-led the EMEA credit platform at CBRE Investment Management. Her understanding of the sector is further informed by her role as chair of the Bank of England commercial property forum and her past role as chair of CREFC Europe. Walker will be based in the London office and will support the real estate debt team in sourcing, underwriting, and executing loan transactions in European markets. She was previously at PGIM’s European debt investment business, where she focused on high yield credit. Walker started her career at Wells Fargo in its commercial real estate team.

NewmarkPaddy Shipp and Rupert Dando have been appointed to form the firm’s UK science and innovation practice. Led by Shipp, the new group will work with the key investors, developers, occupiers and venture capital investors across the UK’s core science and innovation markets. Jointly, Shipp and Dando have been responsible for leasing over 2.8m sqft in the sector. Shipp joins from JLL, where he was head of UK life science agency, while Dando joins as a senior associate from SavillsCharles Toogood has joined the firm to drive the UK office offering. He joins from Avison Young, where he was responsible for the operation and strategic direction of the UK office and lease advisory team, most recently serving as principal and managing director. With more than 25 years of experience, Toogood has represented major occupiers and landlords including global firms, including Carlyle Group, Hines, Federated Hermes and AXA REIM, as well as several UK companies and government departments. Chris Balshaw has been hired to establish the firm’s cost consultancy and management services capabilities within the building consultancy practice in the UK. In his role, Balshaw will provide cost management, financial oversight and procurement advice for construction and real estate projects, ensuring developments are cost-effective and in compliance with contractual requirements across the UK, with an initial focus on the Northwest. Before joining Newmark, Balshaw was a partner at Todd & Ledson, where he played a key role in leading a team and delivering cost consultancy solutions. Following Todd & Ledson’s acquisition by Rider Levett Bucknall UK in 2019, Balshaw was integral to the firm’s transition and integration, leading on healthcare in the Northwest and broadening its sector service capabilities nationally.  

Zenzic CapitalJohn Bigley has joined the firm as a principal. Previously Bigley spent nine years as Principal at DRC Capital where he was involved in origination, structuring, execution, asset management and investor relations across Europe. Prior to this he held senior positions at Westimmo, Merrill Lynch and JP Morgan Asset Management. At Zenzic, Bigley will be utilising his deep experience and significant contact base to originate special situations and opportunistic credit deals in Europe. He joins Zenzic’s London-headquartered team, which includes fellow principal, Steve Swallow, a former East Lodge Capital partner.

Patrizia — Riccardo Amoroso has been appointed CEO of CiviSmart, a newly formed company integrating three previously acquired smart lighting operators – Ottima, Selettra and Atlantico – into a unified national platform for smart-city infrastructure. Amoroso will lead the company’s expansion, accelerating the deployment of its smart-city solutions throughout Italy.

BaxEnergy Roberto Tundo has been appointed executive vice-president and Marco Cecconi as chief technology officer. Tundo, who has served as chief technology officer since November 2024, has been instrumental in shaping the company’s technological vision following its acquisition by Yokogawa Electric Corporation. In his new role, Tundo will oversee the BaxEnergy’s global expansion strategy, lead cross-functional initiatives, and drive strategic partnerships to accelerate growth. He will guide the evolution of the company’s solutions suite, ensuring they remain industry-leading across all renewable energy technologies.

CBRE —  Denis McGowan has been appointed as executive managing director to lead the firm’s global workplace solutions financial and professional services sector in APAC and EMEA. McGowan joins CBRE from Osborne+Co, where he was responsible for key relationships with clients like Santander, Wells Fargo, and Citi, as well as the partnership with tech-driven hospitality provider BoB W. Prior to this role, McGowan was the global head of property for Standard Chartered Bank from 2008 to 2022. He has also held leadership positions at various large corporate financial services and banking firms.

Heimstaden BostadPrzemyslaw Orchowicz has been appointed country manager for Heimstaden Czechia, effective 1 June 2025. He succeeds Jan Rafaj, who will depart Heimstaden Czechia by the end of May after eight years in the role. Orchowicz currently oversees Heimstaden’s growth markets in Poland, Finland and the UK. He joined Heimstaden in 2021, bringing nearly 20 years of senior management experience from Accor Hotels in Poland, and has since served as head of operations, country manager Poland, and group director for new countries operations, with responsibility for Poland, the UK and Finland.

Octopus Real EstateEllie Vlavianou has been appointed investment director in the affordable housing team. Vlavianou joins from L&Q, where she served as head of new business, overseeing the development of new homes. 

SwecoJan Allde has been appointed CFO and member of Sweco group’s executive team. Allde will take office on 1 August 2025 and succeed Olof Stålnacke, who has previously announced that he will leave Sweco at his own request during the summer of 2025. Allde has a long-standing career within the ABB Group, including a role as CFO for its US operations. Most recently, he served as CFO of Alfa Laval. Allde also holds a board membership at the AI company Norna.
