AEW – The global real estate investment manager has appointed Tracy Jones as head of fund operations and debt finance for AEW’s European funds and mandates managed from the London office. In her new position, Jones will manage a team of five professionals in charge of fund operations, financing and tax for European funds and mandates. Jones has over 15 years’ industry experience and joins AEW from Active Partners where she was CFO with fund operations as a key responsibility. She has also held positions at PwC and The Blackstone Group, where she spent 12 years in real estate finance.
Vauban Infrastructure Partners – Elie Nammar joins Vauban as a senior director dedicated to asset management in the digital infrastructure sector. Prior to joining Vauban, Nammar was an associate partner at Oliver Wyman and a group principal strategy manager at Vodafone. Youcef Barrage has been appointed investment manager and finance director of Vauban Infra Fibre. Barrage joins Vauban after spending 6 years at Société Générale in the infrastructure project finance team where he executed both advisory and arranging mandates. Sébastien Trujas has joined the asset manager’s operations team in Paris. Prior to joining Vauban, Trujas held numerous roles in CACEIS Bank as a relationship manager on private assets and a middle officer on private equity operations. Trujas also spent three years with Lone Star Funds as senior investment accounting officer in Luxembourg and two years with TMF Group.
LabTech – Jonny Perkins has been appointed retail asset manager for LabTech’s new 580,000sqft Hawley Wharf Camden development and the London property investment firm’s other Camden holdings. Perkins will focus on positioning Hawley Wharf Camden as a must-visit F&B, leisure, entertainment, and retail destination at the heart of LabTech’s Camden estate. Perkins joins LabTech from CBRE where he spent six years in the central London retail leasing team.
FTI Consulting – Miriam Wrobel has been appointed senior managing director in the power and renewables practice within the corporate finance and restructuring segment at FTI Consulting. Wrobel, who is based in San Francisco, is an expert in renewable energy strategy and finance, advising utilities, equity investors, lenders, project developers and large energy users on strategies for balancing risk and optimising returns in energy transactions. At FTI Consulting, she will advise clients on energy transformation strategy, transaction structuring, diligence, ESG disclosure strategies and energy procurement. Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Wrobel was the president and CEO of Miriam Wrobel Consulting in San Francisco. Wrobel also has prior experience at Citigroup, where she was the primary relationship manager for renewable energy and energy efficiency developers within the Municipal Securities division. She started her career in real estate with experience in the real estate acquisitions group at JPMorgan Asset Management and the investment research group at Lendlease Corp.
Trion Properties – The US private equity real estate firm has hired real estate veteran Marley Dominguez as director of acquisitions to run its new Miami Beach office. Dominguez will be responsible for sourcing deals throughout the Southeast, specifically in South Florida, Central Florida, Atlanta, and the Carolinas. Dominguez, who has nearly 20 years of progressive core-plus and value-add multifamily real estate investment experience focused on acquisitions and asset management throughout the US. Prior to joining Trion, Dominguez served as managing director of Sonder. Previously in his career, he held real estate investment and management roles with Apple Investments, Kuwait Pension Fund, Reem Investments, John Laing Homes, and Swirnow Capital Management.
Battersea Power Station Development – Meriam Lock-Necrews has been appointed head of residential. Lock-Necrews takes over the role ahead of the first residents moving into the Power Station itself this spring. Lock-Necrews is a former partner and head of super-prime residential development at Knight Frank.
MetLife Investment Management – Sara Queen has joined MetLife from Mapletree Investments to lead its real estate equity portfolio. Queen will succeed Mark Wilsmann, who is retiring at the end of March after more than 30 years with the company. Queen has been appointed managing director and head of real estate equity business, which comprises core, core-plus, build-to-core, value-add and opportunistic strategies for the firm’s institutional clients and parent MetLife’s general account. She joined Mapletree in 2018 and was head of the Singapore headquartered firm’s North America business. Prior to Mapletree, Queen spent 11 years at Brookfield as head of asset management for the company’s US office portfolio.
Segro – The developer and owner of warehouse space has appointed Dan Holford as technical development director. Holford joins from construction consultancy Feasibility, where he spent 14 years.
QSix – The specialist real estate asset manager has appointed Nick McAlpine-Lee to establish and lead a new UK affordable homeownership business. This new business will complement QSix’s current affordable housing strategy. McAlpine-Lee was previously CEO and co-founder of shared ownership provider Heylo, one of the UK’s largest shared ownership homes providers. Prior to this, he spent eight years at Lloyds holding senior positions in structured products and infrastructure finance. He has also held a variety of roles at PWC and HSBC.
