Europa Capital – Lynn Smith has been appointed development director. Smith will be responsible for the strategic management and financial oversight of Europa Capital’s UK and European developments, including working with joint venture and operating partners to ensure project delivery and the implementation of leasing strategies for relevant schemes. Smith brings over 20 years’ of development experience from investment managers including Aviva Investors and M&G Real Estate, where she was responsible for overseeing project and stakeholder management across mixed-use commercial developments.
Crossbay – The pan-European logistics platform has appointed Ben Ryan asset management head. Ryan joins from Delin Property, where he was also head of asset management. Prior to Delin Property, Ryan held senior asset management roles at both Praxis Real Estate and Topland Group. He was also previously director in ING’s real estate investment management division.
JLL – Mike Harrington has joined the real estate services firm as head of EMEA data centre facilities management and Tom Glover has joined as head of EMEA data centre transactions. Harrington will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of facilities management operations for corporates, specialist data centre operators and cloud providers in EMEA. Harrington joins JLL after a career in the facilities management industry having worked in the US, Europe and APAC. Previously, he was Head of facilities management at CBRE in Asia Pacific. Glover will lead JLL’s transactional services for occupier, operator and developer clients in the data centre sector. He joins from CBRE where he was director responsible for sourcing suitable sites for data centres across Europe and providing strategic advice to landlords, investors, and occupiers active in the data centre market.
River & Mercantile – Allan Vlah, Fergus Helliwell, Anne Sophie Eveno and Dan Wilcockson have joined the firm’s infrastructure business from Aviva to support the recent recruitment of Ian Berry. The former head of infrastructure equity at Aviva Investors joined the group to establish an infrastructure investment business which over time will launch a range of infrastructure strategies.
Cromwell Property – Patrick Lowe has been promoted to head transactions in Europe. Lowe will lead the European transactions team in their efforts to source and execute on and off-market single-asset and portfolio deals using Cromwell’s extensive pan-European network and access to local knowledge. He will continue be responsible for all transactions on behalf of Cromwell European REIT. Lowe joined Cromwell ten years ago as a financial analyst and since then has progressed through the organisation. His most recent role was senior transactions manager, working exclusively for CEREIT.
Ground Rents Income Fund – Barry Gilbertson has been appointed independent non-executive director. Gilbertson is a consultant with a focus on real estate, strategy and risk, having more than 45 years’ experience advising on property, including as an adviser to the Bank of England and as president of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. He is a former partner in PwC and former non-executive consultant to Knight Frank. He has held advisory appointments with the UN and with the UK government. Malcolm Naish intends to retire as chairman and as a non-executive director of the company at the company’s next AGM. Naish has acted as chairman of the company since its IPO in 2012.
Lendlease – Tony Lombardo, Lendlease’s Asia CEO has been appointed to succeed Steve McCann as group CEO and managing director in June. Lombardo would commence in his new role as the group pursued its revised strategy focusing on leveraging its competitive edge in the development and delivery of large-scale, mixed-use urbanisation projects and growing the Investments platform. Lombardo’s prior roles include group CFO. McCann has run the Sydney-based company for more than 12 years. McCann’s retirement follows the imminent departure of the group chief financial officer, Tarun Gupta, who is leaving to head up listed property group Stockland in June. Lendlease said the search for a new group CFO is well progressed with an announcement of an appointment expected in coming months.
Morrison & Co – The listed Morrison-managed vehicle Infratil has appointed Jason Boyes to succeed Marko Bogoievski as Infratil CEO and director, effective 1 April. Bogoievski is stepping down after 12 years as Infratil’s CEO. Boyes joined Morrison & Co in 2011. He previously held the roles of head of legal and chief commercial officer for Morrison & Co. He is currently the chair of Infratil portfolio companies, Longroad Energy and Galileo Green Energy, and will continue to oversee Morrison & Co’s origination and investment management activity in the energy sector globally. Bogoievski will remain as CEO and director of Morrison & Co and continues as chair of Vodafone New Zealand. William Smales has been appointed as the global head of private markets. Smales was previously the head of North America and will maintain responsibility for establishing a North American presence until a new regional head is identified. Smales also retains the leadership of the digital infrastructure sector group. Morrison & Co has appointed Nicole Walker, chief commercial officer, and Kellee Clark, head of legal, to the investment committee. Walker joined Morrison & Co in 2017. Vincent Gerritsen, who joined Morrison & Co in 2019, will succeed Boyes as head of UK & Europe effective 1 April. Gerritsen is based in London and will be responsible for growing the team of investment professionals and origination across the region.
America First Multifamily Investors – Kenneth C Rogozinski has been appointed CEO. Rogozinski has served as interim CEO since 1 January. Rogozinski served as the firm’s chief investment officer since September 2019. Previously, Rogozinski was an executive managing director of Greystone Capital Advisors, a position he held beginning October 2017. From February 2009 to September 2017, Rogozinski was the Co-CEO and chief credit officer of Dreadnought Capital Management Corporation, an investment advisor that he co-founded in 2009.
PPHE Hotel – Jon Colley has been appointed executive VP of acquisitions and development with immediate effect. Colley will lead the group’s acquisitions and development activity. He will join the executive leadership team. Colley has experience in banking, real estate and hospitality development, and has held senior leadership positions at Hilton Hotels, Barclays Bank, the Royal Bank of Scotland and, most recently, Intercontinental Hotels where he was head of Development, UK and Ireland.
Glenhawk – The property lender has appointed Jamie Pritchard to the newly created role of director of sales. Pritchard will be based in London will be responsible for establishing Glenhawk’s regional and national offering, leading a team of six business development managers initially focused on its existing regulated and unregulated bridging products. Pritchard joins Glenhawk from Precise Mortgages, where he spent nearly seven years, the last five as head of sales. He previously worked at Principality Building Society where he was business development manager and interim head of intermediary sales.
