Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund has committed $125m (€107.5m) each to infrastructure funds managed by JP Morgan Asset Management and Macquarie Asset Management, according to the pension fund’s board meeting summary document.
The pension fund committed to the open-ended JP Morgan Infrastructure Investments Fund and the Macquarie Global Infrastructure Fund.
The JP Morgan fund, which was established in 2017, holds a net asset value of $5.8bn, according to existing investors.
The Macquarie fund held a portfolio valued at $5.9bn at the end of September 2025 and targets net long-term returns of 8% to 10%.
