AMP Capital – Brett Williams has been appointed to the new role of managing director to lead the firm’s entire retail platform. He is currently the fund manager for the AMP Capital Diversified Property Fund. As part of a restructuring of AMP’s A$28bn real estate funds management division, Mark Kirkland has been appointed to the newly created head of retail role. Luke Briscoe will take on the new and expanded role of managing director, office and logistics. Other changes to the real estate leadership team include Merran Edwards’ appointment to the new position of real estate CFO and Kylie O’Connor as separate accounts COO and MD. John Dynon will be the head of origination and capital where he will be accountable for sourcing new opportunities and placing capital for new and existing clients.
Savills Investment Management – The real estate investment manager has appointed Barbara Linnemann to head its asset management business in Germany. Linnemann previously worked for Vivico (now CA Immo), Shaftsbury Asset Management and CORPUS SIREO/Morgan Stanley’s asset management platform Argoneo. Most recently, she served as MD at Apleona Argoneo.
Lendlease – Simon Gorski has been appointed managing director for construction in Europe. Gorski joined the property group as a commercial manager in 2004. He has undertaken various roles through the business ever since and leaves his current position as the executive general manager, UK regions to take on the new role. Gorski’s career began as a quantity surveyor. He takes over from Neil Martin who was recently promoted to the role of COO for Lendlease in Europe.
Manulife Investment Management – Erik Gustafson has been appointed senior managing director to head the asset manager’s US real estate asset management. Gustafson will oversee Manulife’s real estate investment assets within the US across the office, industrial, multifamily and retail sectors. Gustafson previously worked as a senior vice president and the global head of portfolio management at Fidelity Investments’ Pembroke Real Estate group. Kevin Bishop has been appointed business development and investor relations MD, real estate. In this newly created position, Bishop will be responsible for driving private markets real estate capital raising and client relationship management for both the debt and equity platforms. Previously, Bishop was investor relations director at Guggenheim Real Estate. Kevin Ryan has been appointed MD business development and investor relations, real estate. In this newly created role, Ryan will be responsible for driving private markets real estate capital raising and client relationship management for both the debt and equity platforms. Previously, Ryan was MD, head of product management real estate equity at Barings.
Urban Exposure – The specialist residential development financier and asset manager has appointed Graeme Alfille-Cook chief strategy officer. Alfille-Cook will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of the company’s strategy across all aspects of origination and capital raising. Alfille-Cook has over 28 years’ experience within the financial and real estate sectors having held various roles within Lloyds Banking Group, including managing director of Lloyds’ commercial real estate developers team. Since leaving Lloyds he has been acting as a consultant notably with Apex Airspace Developments.
LW Hospitality Advisors – Jonathan Jaeger has been promoted to senior managing director of the firm. Sean Cuthbertson has been appointed executive vice president of the firm. Cuthbertson recently served as vice president/senior commercial review appraiser with M&T Bank, and previously as vice president/senior appraiser with CBRE.
Ivanhoé Cambridge – Nathalie Palladitcheff has been promoted to succeed chairman and CEO Daniel Fournier who is retiring in October. Palladitcheff, who joined the company in 2015, has been appointed president and CEO and will take over from 15 October. The real estate investment arm of Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec said it intends to appoint a new chairman in the coming months as part of a previously announced plan to separate its president and CEO and chairman roles.
M&G Real Estate – Jose-Luis Pellicer, the former head of research at Patrizia, has joined M&G Real Estate to lead its newly created investment strategy role. Pellicer was a partner and head of research at Rockspring Property Investment Managers, which was acquired by Patrizia, from May 2011 to May 2018. He was confirmed as Patrizia Group’s head of research in May 2018 following the integration of Patrizia, TRIUVA and Rockspring.
