TH Real EstateShusaku Watanabe has been named director of capital transactions in Asia. Watanabe, who will be based in Singapore, will report to Chris Reilly, managing director for Asia-Pacific. He joins from JP Morgan Asset Management’s Singapore office, where he was fund manager for its Tokyo Recovery Fund. Previous roles include fund manager at Aviva Investors.

Brunswick Real Estate – Andreas Hedlund will join in August to head the fundraising team at Leimdörfer, the group’s investment banking arm. Harri Halonen, who joins in July, will join the fundraising team as a director, while Aksel Lundquist will join in August as a director at Brunswick Real Estate Capital. Hedlund joins from leading global private equity group EQTHalonen joins from Swiss Life Asset Management in Zurich.

Bouwinvest REIMGerald Warmerdam and Jaap Landkroon have been appointed to new roles in the firm. Warmerdam joins as a strategic investment adviser and will mainly focus on managing the bpfBOUW account. He has worked for Delta Lloyd and Achmea. Landkroon will become relationship manager for institutional clients. He has worked at Bouwinvest since June 2008 as an asset manager for the residential fund. Prior to that, he worked at ING Real Estate Finance.

IVD – The real estate association has elected Björn Petersen as vice-president. He succeeds Axel Kloth, who retires after 19 years of volunteering at the real estate association. Petersen has been a member of IVD for 18 years.

BNP Paribas Real Estate – Mark Calder has joined as a director to focus on central London restaurant leasing, acquisitions and disposals on behalf of landlords and tenants. Sally French joins from Restaurant Property, while Nick Lyell joins as a director within the leisure team. He previously worked at SavillsNigel Ball will head up the leisure team.
