CityconNils Styf, Citycon’s CIO, is leaving the firm. Styf joined Citycon in 2012. He will continue in his current position until the end of summer.

Patrizia Immobilien – Jacob Smergel-Krog has been promoted to Nordic head of investment management. Smergel-Krog joined the firm’s Danish team in 2013 as investment manager and was promoted to head of investment management for Denmark in May last year.

Bouwinvest – Frank Nijs has been tasked with acquisition at the new Healthcare Fund of Dutch property manager Bouwinvest. Nijs joins from ’s Heeren Loo Zorggroep, where has has been project developer responsible for portfolio management.  Previously, Nijs, 1969, worked at the project development companies Kristal and Heijmans. At Bouwinvest, he is to become a member of the care property team of Erwin Drenth. Bouwinvest, the property developer of BpfBouw, the €51bn  pension fund for the building sector, started investing in care property in 2014. It expects €150m of committed transactions at year-end and aims at €300m in 2018. The target return is 6.5%.

KKRRob Yang has been appointed as managing director and head of Greater China in the real estate team. Yang, based in Hong Kong, joins from the Blackstone Group in Hong Kong, where he was a managing director in its real estate group. Yang joined Blackstone in 2007 and has also worked for the Carlyle Group in Hong Kong.

Vesteda – The firm is relocating its three main offices to a single head office in Amsterdam next year. The former head office in Maastricht and both locations in Amsterdam will be centralised into one new head office on De Boelelaan in Amsterdam Buitenveldert. Vesteda’s existing five regional offices will be maintained. Gertjan van der Baan, chief executive, said some colleagues who did not wish to relocate would leave the company. 

Savills Investment Management Jennifer Johnstone-Kaiser has been appointed as a director in Sydney. She was previously head of real estate for the Asia Pacific at Mercer for seven years, advising a number of major Australian and Asian pension funds and wealth management businesses, including Australian corporate and government Super Funds, the Korea National Pension Service and the Hospitality Authority of Hong Kong.

PraderaTwo senior directors from LJ Partnership, Jonathan Elkington and Simon Berrill, have joined Pradera’s board as non-executive directors. Pradera was recently backed by LJ, a family office shareholder. Paul Whight, who sold his controlling stake in Pradera to the Colin Campbell Family Trust last year, has resigned from the position of non-executive director.

ArdianSimo Santavirta has been appointed to the infrastructure team, joining from InterGen, where he was vice-president of strategy and portfolio management in the US. Prior to that, he worked in the Philippines and Europe. He began his career at Finnish energy company Fortum in 1998.

International Property Security ExchangeRobert Bould has been named non-executive director of the London-based exchange. Bould was previously chief executive of GVA Bilfinger and executive vice-president of Bilfinger Real Estate in Germany.

LondonMetric PropertyAndrew Livingston has joined the board as an independent non-executive director. Livingston has been chief executive of Screwfix since 2013.
