Standard Life InvestmentsChoon Wah Wong has been named chief executive of SLI’s new Singapore office and head of Asia Pacific real estate. He joins from Partners Group, where he was senior vice-president for Singapore. Ted Roy has been named deputy fund manager, relocating from Edinburgh. Jason Lam has been appointed associate investment director for Asia wholesale sales and will move from Hong Kong to Singapore, while Tervinder Chal has been named head of Asia Pacific real estate finance and operations. Mark Baker, fund manager for emerging market debt, has moved from London to Hong Kong.

BlackstoneChris Chapple has been appointed chief executive of Blackstone’s Australian asset management company, 151 Property. Chapple, previously head of office and industrial at Charter Hall, replaces Nic Lyons. Chapple will focus on transforming undervalued assets.

Temasek John Vaske has been appointed Temasek International’s joint head in North America to oversee the portfolio and investments. Vaske is co-chairman of global mergers and acquisitions in the investment banking division at Goldman Sachs. He will take up the appointment from January next year. 

Syntrus Achmea Real Estate & FinanceMorella Hessels has been named business development manager, responsible for obtaining new real estate and mortgage mandates from international institutional investors. Hessels has worked for Goldman Sachs Asset Management, Northern Trust Global Investments and Tobam.
