CBRE Global Investors, Warburg-HIH Invest Real Estate, GIC, Standard & Poor’s, Knight Frank, CREFC, Silverton, Herbert Smith Freehills
CBRE Global Investors – Jeremy Plummer is replacing Pieter Hendrikse as head of EMEA. Hendrikse is leaving the firm at the end of April, having worked for the company since 1999. Plummer will also continue as CEO of CBRE Global Investment Partners (GIP). Plummer joined CBRE Global Investors in 2006 with the acquisition of Oxford Property Consultants, which he co-founded in 2001. Ian Gleeson, chief investment officer of GIP since 2008, has been appointed senior managing director. Evelyne Nossing has been appointed head of marketing and communications for EMEA. Nossing, with the company for 10 years, replaces Andrea Carpenter who is leaving the firm.
Warburg-HIH Invest Real Estate – The firm has opened offices in Paris and Madrid. Dominique Dudan will oversee the French business as a managing director. Dudan served for four and a half years as president of Union Investment Real Estate France. Benita von Meding will head the office in Spain, having previously worked for Union Investment Real Estate, Bavaria Bankgesellschaft and Immobilien Team Consulting. In the Netherlands, Warburg-HIH Invest will cooperate with Cording on all future investment activities across the Benelux countries.
Prelios – Gregor Böhme has been appointed head of acquisitions in Frankfurt. Böhme’s previous positions include senior asset manager at Morgan Stanley Real Estate Funds in Amsterdam. He has also worked as a portfolio manager at DIC Asset in Frankfurt.
GIC – Ang Eng Seng is to become chief investment officer for infrastructure at Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund in June. Seng will continue concurrently as president for Europe. Lee Kok Sun will become chief investment officer for real estate. Tay Lim Hock remains as president of private equity and infrastructure. Goh Kok Huat remains president of real estate and concurrently chief operating officer.
Standard & Poor’s – Jon Manley has been named global head of business development in the firm’s EMEA Infrastructure Group. Manley was most recently commercial head of structured finance and has led the EMEA infrastructure team’s coverage of UK PFI/PPP transactions, transportation projects and utilities.
Knight Frank – Mark Clacy Jones has been appointed as head of data and analytics at Knight Frank in London. Clacy Jones was previously at MSCI, where he was head of applied research for real estate, having joined IPD in 2007.
CREFC Europe – Steve Willingham has been appointed as chairman. Willingham, HSBC’s head of real estate finance for the EMEA region, will succeed Madeleine McDougall. The one-year term will begin at CREFC Europe’s autumn conference in November. Jane Hollinshead, principal at IJD Consulting, has been appointed to CREFC’s board, as has Mike Shields, managing director at ING Real Estate Finance.
Silverton – Pablo Merino Villanueva has joined the firm’s Spanish team. Before joining Silverton, Merino was head of acquisitions and asset management at Anglia Investments. He has also worked for Banco Santander, ING REIM Southern Europe and Jones Lang LaSalle.
Herbert Smith Freehills – Rob Carr and Shona Grey have been named partners in the firm. Carr specialises in real estate finance. Grey is a real estate lawyer.
