Bfinance – Peter Hobbs is joining as managing director of private markets. Hobbs recently left MSCI, where he was head of real estate research. Hobbs was previously head of global research at Deutsche Bank’s real estate investment management business RREEF, before joining MSCI in 2010, when it was called IPD. Hobbs will be based in the London offices of bfinance. Hobbs is a member of US-based Real Estate Research Institute’s advisory board and Asia’s Real Estate Investment Institute Global Advisory Council.

UBS Asset Management – Asher Garnett has joined as director of UK business development for the global real estate business of UBS. Garnett will be based in London and joins from BlackRock, where he spent the past five years. Prior to this, Garnett spent four years on CMBS in Bank of America.

Goodwin ProcterGretchen Scott will join the hospitality and leisure practice as a partner in the London office. Scott joins from King & Wood Mallesons’ London office, where she was partner.

Knight Frank – The Berlin office has hired three capital-market agents, Hanns-Joachim Fredrich, Heiko Franke and Daniel Shakhatreh, from Cushman & Wakefield.

AlteraEllen de Vries has joined as account manager for retail, after leaving her job as retail portfolio manager at the company, which in turn has been taken by Ferdy Schenk, from Delta Lloyd, where he was asset manager of retail since 2011. Gijs Gijzen has started as an account manager for residential, joining from Amvest. Ellen Tak-Zwetheul is now a property analyst, having worked as a property manager at financing company Propertize, and as a researcher at Corio and property data specialist Strabo.
