Generali has appointed Aldo Mazzocco as chief executive of its real estate business one year after the departure of Christian Delaire.
Mazzocco, who was chief executive of Beni Stabili from 2001 until 2015, is currently chief real estate officer at Italy’s Cassa Depositi e Prestiti.
He was previously chairman of InvestiRE SGR.
He is expected to take up the role in June and will also join the board of directors.
Delaire, who attended MIPIM this week, left Generali Real Estate in March last year.
Chief operating officer, Francesco Benvenuti, had since held the role at the Milan-based investment manager on an interim basis.
