GIC, Warburg-HIH Invest, CBRE Global Investors, SABCON, DTZ Zadelhoff
GIC – Singapore’s former president, Tony Tan Keng Yam, is to take on the role of director and special adviser to the sovereign wealth fund.
“As special adviser, Tan will provide much value in broadening and strengthening GIC’s network of senior statesmen and leaders of corporations,” said GIC CEO Lim Chow Kiat.
Tan stepped down from Singapore’s presidency in August this year at the end of his six-year term. He was deputy chairman and executive director of GIC from September 2005 until June 2011. He takes up the new role from January 2018.
Warburg-HIH Invest – Martin Sabelko has been appointed managing director for the pan-European investment manager’s office in Vienna. Sabelko previously managed CBRE Global Investors Central Europe, and has worked with SABCON and DTZ Zadelhoff.
Martin Pende, also formerly with CBRE Global Investors, has joined Sabelko at Warburg-HIH. Pende will be responsible for asset management in Vienna. The German group plans to open new offices in The Netherlands and Poland in 2018.
Insight Investment – Detlef Schoen has been appointed as head of real assets for the manager’s farmland investments. He joined Insight in August. Reza Vishkai, who was formerly the head of real assets, has moved to a newly created consultative role and will continue to advise and provide oversight to the farmland investment team.
