Hermes GPE – The a joint venture between Hermes Fund Managers, GPE Partner and HGPE Capital, has appointed Hamish de Run head of infrastructure to replace Peter Hofbauer who will leave the company with immediate effect. De Run was a partner of Hermes Infrastructure for five years up to 2017 and helped in the deployment of the HIF I fund.
AMP Capital – Ric Gordon has been appointed head of asset management for the Americas for the manager’s infrastructure equity business. Gordon joins from Macquarie Capital, where he led asset management for the Americas, Europe and Asia since 2013. Gordon had worked at Macquarie Group since 2006. Prior to this, he was a consultant at Accenture. He began his career at Macquarie Bank as an associate.
Europa Capital – The pan-European real estate investment manager has promoted both Will Hughes and Nick Temperley to associate director. Hughes joined the business in 2015 from Grosvenor Group and sits in the acquisitions team. Temperley has also been with the business for four years and is responsible for project management and fund structuring in Europa Capital’s investor relations team. He started his career at real estate research and forecasting consultancy, PMA, before moving to the equity capital markets team at Tishman Speyer. Additionally, Sasha Batica and Jamie Williams have been promoted to senior associate in investor relations and IT respectively, whilst Angus Farquharson has been promoted to the role of associate in acquisitions.
ATP – The property arm of Denmark’s biggest pension fund ATP has appointed Tine Cederholm Bemberg as its new head of asset management. At ATP Real Estate, Bemberg will report to the unit’s new CIO Kenneth Olsson. She currently works for Danish property developer CW Obel Ejendomme as a lawyer. Bemberg has also previously worked for Denmark’s largest listed real estate company Jeudan for 12 years as a lawyer in various roles. She will take up her new job at ATP Real Estate on 1 February 2020.
CA Ventures – Matt Taylor and Philip Sanford have joined the real estate manager’s European operations as CFO and head of human resources respectively. Taylor joins from student housing developer ThreeSixty Developments. Sanford spent the past 11 years at marketing services group Engine where he was most recently head of HR, covering the UK and Germany.
Cohen & Steers – The real assets manager has appointed Dasha Smith to its board of directors. Smith has also been appointed as member of the board’s audit committee, compensation committee, and nominating and corporate governance committee. Smith is the executive vice president, global chief human resources officer for Sony Music Entertainment. Prior to joining Sony Music in 2018, Smith served as the managing director, office of the chairman and global chief human resources officer for GCM Grosvenor.
