Legal & General — Kerrigan Procter has been named CEO of Legal & General Capital (LGC), the unit that invests L&G’s principal-balance sheet money in infrastructure and housing, replacing Paul Stanworth. Procter was CEO of Legal & General Retirement (LGR), which invests on behalf of L&G’s annuity book. Simon Russian has been promoted to head of retail at Legal & General Investment Management Real Assets, as the investment arm expands it retail property platform. He was most recently in charge of delivering The Lexicon Bracknell, a town-centre development in Berkshire.
LaSalle Investment Management – Karim Habra has been appointed to the newly created role of head of continental Europe, as LaSalle does away with individual country heads for the region. Habra, who was previously head of France, will report to European chief executive Simon Marrison. LaSalle said the new structure was more consistent with its pan-European funds and would “encourage further cooperation and efficiencies” across teams.
Aviva Investors — Matthias Hübner has been hired to manage the Continental European Long Lease Strategy. Hübner was previously head of investment management for German student housing Deutsche Real Estate. Alexander Sperl has joined as a real estate asset manager. He spent 10 years at Commerz Real as a senior asset and investment manager for Germany and Austria.
Resolution Property – The UK based real estate investment company has expanded its operations in the European retail sector, by opening its first overseas office, in Paris. It has hired Mayte Legeay to oversee the asset management of its portfolio of outlets. She was previously head and business development director for Neinver France.
