Legal & General — James Robson has joined L&G’s real assets arm as residential development manager. Robson joins from CNM Estates where he was a director responsible for land buying, planning application management, financing and development. Reporting to Dan Batterton, L&G’s build-to-rent fund manager, Robson will be responsible for sourcing and managing land and development funding opportunities across the UK.
M7 Real Estate — Katarzyna Parkot has been appointed managing director in Poland with responsibility for leading new business initiatives. Parkot was recently head of leasing at WX Management Services where she lead a team responsible for the marketing and leasing of office space.
The Carlyle Group — Kewsong Lee and Glenn Youngkin are to become co-chief executive officers, replacing David Rubenstein and William Conway Jr, who will become co-executive chairmen of the board and continue to serve on the executive group. Youngkin will focus on the real estate, energy and infrastructure businesses, while Lee will focus on corporate the private equity and global credit businesses. Youngkin, a 23-year veteran of Carlyle, is president and chief operating officer and serves on the firm’s executive group and management committee.
Cromwell Property Group — Mark McLaughlin has taken over from David Kirkby as managing director of the real estate company’s European business. Kirkby, who was CEO of Valad Europe and has continued to lead Cromwell’s European business since the takeover, has become an executive director. McLaughlin was previously the group’s head of property Europe and head of the Benelux region. He joined the company in 2001.
K&C REIT — Duncan Walker, former investment director at FTSE 250 property company Helical, will joined as a non-executive director.
