UBS Asset Management – The company’s Real Estate & Private Markets (REPM) business has made three appointments to its infrastructure team. Thibault Contat Desfontaines and Borja de Luis de Blas will be directors within the REPM infrastructure equity team. Contat Desfontaines joins from Nomura and will be based in London. De Blas joins from Globalvia and will be based in Madrid. Declan O’Brien is leaving Legal & General Investment Management to join as senior analyst. Douwe Vermeulen has also joined the real estate team of the REPM business. Vermeulen has been appointed director and will be based in Amsterdam. He will support asset management and transaction activity in the Benelux region. He was most recently at Intertrust.
AMP Capital — Sudhanshu Garg has been appointed institutional director for its new office in Dubai. He will be responsible for introducing AMP Capital’s real assets capabilities to clients across the Gulf Cooperation Council. His recently managed a consultancy business in Dubai, and before that worked at ABN Amro.
Round Hill Capital — Brian Welsh has been hired as chief executive of The Nido Collection, Round Hill’s European student accommodation platform, and will be based in London. He joins from The Student Housing Company and its development arm ThreeSixtyDevelopments — formerly Knightsbridge Student Housing.
Hodes Weill — Howard Roth has been appointed as an advisory board member. He is a principal of consulting firm HSR Advisors. Roth recently retired from EY as the leader of the firm’s global real estate, hospitality and construction practice.
Grosvenor Europe — Alban Hallé has been hired as director of France, development and investment management. He will be based in Paris. He was previously development director at French Asset Management firm SOFERIM.
Ivanhoé Cambridge — Adriano Mantesso is joining Ivanhoé Cambridge as senior vice president, Brazil, growth markets, and Jorge Margain has been appointed as vice president, Mexico, growth markets. Mantesso previously worked at investment bank BTG Pactual. Margain has worked for PGIM Real Estate, where he was head of transactions for Mexico.
Savills Investment Management — Marco Zorzetto has been appointed director, transactions in Italy. He joins from KPMG Portfolio Solutions Group, where he was associate director.
