Amro PartnersPaul Clark has been appointed senior adviser, providing strategic guidance and advice as the UK and European Living platform enters the next phase of its evolution. Clark was most recently head of real assets Europe at AustraliaSuper. Prior to joining AustralianSuper in 2020, Clark spent 13 years as CIO at The Crown Estate, where he played a central role in repositioning the organisation and delivering long-term sustainable growth. Alongside his executive career, Clark has also held a wide range of non-executive and industry leadership roles, serving as a board member of Federated Hermes’ Property Unit Trust and contributing to both the Bank of England’s commercial property forum and the BPF’s general policy committee. He is currently serving as a non-exec board member of the King’s Cross Central Limited Partnership and the Canada Water Partnership.

PatriziaSimon Redman has been appointed head of product within the firm’s client division. At Patrizia, Redman will lead the firm’s product strategy across real estate and infrastructure, with a focus on developing new investment solutions and enhancing the firm’s capital formation capabilities. In recent years, Redman led the expansion of Invesco Real Estate’s defined contribution and wealth management business, developing new real estate strategies tailored to bring private markets to these investors. Earlier in this career, he led Invesco’s European client portfolio team, helping to grow the firm’s institutional investment platform in the aftermath of the global financial crisis.

DWS — Matthias Naumann has been appointed to head the firm’s direct real estate business in Asia-Pacific. Naumann is based in Sydney and reports into Clemens Schäfer, head of real estate, APAC & Europe in Frankfurt. In his expanded position, Naumann will oversee the platforms day-to-day operations and direction as a dedicated ‘on the ground’ head of real estate for APAC, whilst maintaining his current role as CIO real estate for APAC. In addition to expanding DWS’s presence in existing real estate markets, Naumann will be responsible for establishing strategic growth in new markets and key sectors. Naumann joined DWS in 2013 and has 20 years of experience. He has covered APAC as the CIO for Real Estate since 2021, relocating to Sydney from DWS’ Frankfurt headquarters in early 2024. Matthias commenced with DWS in its real estate research and strategy team, progressing to head of strategy in 2015 before his appointment as CIO for European real estate 2019.  Before DWS, Naumann served as a senior analyst at AXA Investment Managers in London. Previously, he was an analyst at Invesco Real Estate in Munich and commenced his career as a portfolio analyst at Investment Property Databank in London.

Cohen & SteersJohn Gellatly has been appointed senior advisor. Based in London, Gellatly will work closely with Marc Haynes, head of international institutional distribution, and Seth Laughlin, head of real estate strategy and research, to strengthen the firm’s international client relationships and develop new partnerships. He will advise clients on real estate strategy, sharing his unique perspectives and investment experience integrating listed and private assets. Gellatly has nearly four decades’ experience in real estate investing. He most recently served as CIO real estate for the Abu Dhabi Investment Council with responsibility for the oversight and management of one of the world’s largest global real estate investment portfolios. Prior to ADIC, he held senior positions at Aviva Investors and BlackRock and his experiences span a breadth of roles analyzing, investing and managing real estate assets, platforms and products and across both equities and debt, public and private markets and across geographies and sectors.

Assembly Funds Management – Former Lendlease executive Peter Wylie has joined in a newly created role of head of capital based in Sydney. Wylie held various roles at Lendlease since 2011, most recently as head of capital, group investments. Wylie’s appointment will pave the way for AFM to launch new investment products aligned to institutional investor preferences.

Future FundHugh Murray has been appointed interim chief investment officer. He has stepped into the role soon to be vacated by Ben Samid, who has announced that he is leaving the organisation take up a role with a major institutional investor in the Middle East. Murray has played a leading role in the fund’s investment team over the last 14 years and has deep knowledge and commitment to  its investment approach. Samid will stay on in a handover role. A replacement process for Samid will be be undertaken in line with the Australian Public Service recruitment requirements. Samid joined the Future Fund in 2013 and has spent 12 years making an important contribution as a member of the investment team, including most recently as CIO, and before that as deputy CIO.

Harworth Group — Kitty Patmore, CFO, has expanded her group leadership role to include portfolio strategy; strategic partnerships; and sustainability, energy and natural capital. Patmore joined Harworth as CFO and executive director on the board on 1 October 2019. Dougie Maudsley, who joined Harworth as group financial controller in January 2021, having also held roles as director of finance and most recently interim CFO while Patmore was on maternity leave, has taken on the new role of deputy CFO and will join the executive team on a permanent basis.

GreystarMathias Keller has been appointed director – investment, Germany & Austria, to oversee transactions. Keller brings nearly 20 years of experience advising national and international companies as well as institutional investors on complex real estate investments. He joins Greystar from CBRE where he headed the capital markets team’s cross-regional transaction business in Germany. He began his career in 2006 with JLL’s Berlin investment team before moving to Frankfurt, where he oversaw portfolio and single-asset transactions across Germany and gained his first leadership experience.

CBRE Investment ManagementLiliya Larcombe has been appointed to the newly created role of EMEA logistics customer relationship manager. This strategic role has been designed to strengthen partnerships with logistics occupiers and enhance their experience across the firm’s European logistics portfolio. In this new role as senior director, Larcombe will serve as a dedicated point of contact for occupiers. She will be responsible for deepening client engagement and driving value for occupiers across CBRE IM’s logistics platform. Prior to joining CBRE IM, Larcombe played a key role in implementing CRM strategies as part of a broader data analytics platform. With Larcombe stepping into her new role, Justine Weber-Bret will take over as head of asset management logistics southern Europe, covering France, Spain, and Italy from September. Weber-Bret has 17 years of pan-European real estate experience and has led CBRE IM’s logistics transactions and asset management in the Nordics for the past three years. She has now relocated to Paris to take on this leadership role.

PineBridge Benson Elliot – The pan-European real estate private equity specialist has appointed Nina Meier as vice president, based in London. Meier will drive the sourcing, execution, and management of investments across Northern Europe, with a particular focus on Germany, the Nordics, and the Netherlands. She will also oversee asset performance and reporting. Meier joins from a private equity real estate firm, where she spent over six years in the Investments team, most recently as associate director.
