Norges Bank Investment Management – Mie Caroline Holstad, CIO of real assets, is set to depart from the manager of the Norwegian Government Pension Fund Global. The real assets division, now integrated into the newly established active strategies division — overseeing all active investments in equities, credit, and real assets — will be jointly led by Daniel Balthasar and Pedro Furtado Reis, the co-CIOs of equities.

Lone StarJérôme Foulon has been appointed global head of commercial real estate following the retirement of André Collin after 17 years with Lone Star. Foulon joined Lone Star in 2018 and has served in multiple senior positions, most recently as senior managing director for global origination where he was responsible for investment strategy and policy for Lone Star’s commercial real estate funds. Prior to joining Lone Star, Foulon was a managing director in the real estate division of PSP Investments.

TerraForm PowerMark Noyes has been appointed CEO and president. Noyes brings with him over 30 years of experience in the energy sector and joins TerraForm Power from RWE Clean Energy’s leadership team where he was the CEO. Noyes was the CEO of another renewable energy company where he was instrumental in the startup and growth of the company’s development platform and operating business.

Gresham HouseEoin McDonald has been appointed global director of natural capital. Based in London, McDonald will drive further development of Gresham House’s natural capital solutions strategy globally. McDonald joins Gresham House with over 12 years of experience in institutional natural capital investment. Most recently, he served as MD at specialist investment management firm GreenAgCapital. Prior to this, he led the US portfolio management team at Nuveen Natural Capital’s farmland division. He has also been a portfolio manager at Insight Investment.

CBRE Investment ManagementChris Pople has been appointed to the sector leadership team as EMEA logistics asset operations lead. Pople joined CBRE IM in 2009 and has since spent 15 years building on his experience in logistics transactions, asset management and development, while overseeing relationships with key external service providers. Most recently, Pople worked as a senior fund manager at CBRE IM and as a member of the UK direct leadership team. In his new role, Pople will be responsible for optimising asset management operations.   

BGOMichelle Brown has been appointed head of BGO Properties, the firm’s Canadian-focused real estate management business. In her expanded role, Brown will be responsible for leading the operations and financial performance of BGO Properties. Brown is an active mentor and advocate for women within the firm, serving as the global lead for the BGO women’s network and a member of BGO’s equity, diversity, inclusivity executive council. Brown is a co-chair of partners in Project Green.

LaSalle Investment Management Tara McCann has been appointed head of Americas investor and consultant relations. In this role, McCann leads LaSalle’s efforts to strengthen relationships with existing institutional investors, enhance consultant relationships and expand the firm’s network across the Americas. McCann will assume the responsibilities of Adam Caskey, head of Americas investor relations, who is set to retire in December this year. McCann joins LaSalle from Rockwood, where she served as head of capital and client strategies, while also spearheading the firm’s ESG initiatives. Prior to that, McCann was a managing director with USAA Real Estate Company, serving as the product specialist for opportunistic and credit strategies. She has also held senior roles at H/2 Capital Partners, Ranieri Real Estate Partners and the Deutsche Bank Securities’ Real Estate Investment Banking. 

DigitalBridgeYoshiaki Fujimori has been appointed senior executive advisor. Fujimori currently serves as chairman of Oracle Japan and holds board positions at Takeda Pharmaceuticals and Boston Scientific. His past directorships include roles at Tokyo Electric Power Company, Toshiba Corporation, and Shiseido. Previously, he spent five years as president and CEO of LIXIL Group. Prior to that, he served as chairman and CEO of GE Japan and SVP of General Electric. He spent 25 years at General Electric in various CEO roles, including GE Plastics, GE Healthcare Asia, and GE Money Asia.

Continental Realty CorporationMatthew Joiner has been appointed SVP multifamily acquisitions. Formerly senior director and head of US multifamily for CapitaLand Investment in New York City. Joiner’s primary responsibility will be to identify and acquire multifamily properties in the firm’s target markets throughout the Southeast region of the country that satisfy the company’s acquisition requirements, private equity funds, and investors.

Octopus Real Estate – Cristina Pérez Liz has been appointed head of Spain. She joins following a ten-year career at Kennedy Wilson, where she was senior MD and head of Spain for the European arm of the business, establishing and running their Madrid office, and investing and divesting across a range of real estate sectors. She was previously MD of Banco Santander’s restructuring unit and prior to that worked for PwC, Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan – the latter two in London. She will be based in the new Octopus Investments Spain office located in Madrid’s financial district. She will report to Ed Clough, MD at Octopus Real Estate, who has relocated to Madrid temporarily to support the team’s early growth.

Homes England – Eamonn Boylan has been appointed interim CEO. This follows the announcement that Peter Denton, current CEO, will be standing down from his role in January 2025. Boylan will join the agency from 15 January. Boylan has more than 42 years of experience in public sector roles and his career has included being the deputy CEO of Manchester City Council, CEO of Stockport Council, and deputy CEO of Homes England’s predecessor Homes and Communities Agency.

CBREHugh Macdonald has been appointed head of capital advisors for Asia Pacific. Macdonald joins CBRE from Deutsche Bank, where he was previously the head of investment banking coverage and advisory for Australia and New Zealand. Macdonald has experience at institutions such as Citi, Morgan Stanley and Bankers Trust.

Rowan Digital Infrastructure — Charley Daitch has been appointed CEO. Daitch is currently Rowan’s chief commercial officer and he will succeed John Lucas who has served as Rowan’s interim CEO since 2022 in addition to his role as managing director and US regional leader for Quinbrook. Lucas will remain on Rowan’s board of directors and will continue advising Rowan in this capacity. Daitch joined Rowan as chief commercial officer in October 2023, overseeing the data center development, site origination, energy, community engagement and business development teams. Prior to Rowan, Daitch led teams at Amazon Web Services responsible for all facets of infrastructure, energy, water, renewables, and utilities. 

Ascent Developer Solutions — Kerri Brouilette joins the firm as MD, chief credit officer, bringing more than two decades of real estate and private funding experience in originations and recapitalisations at institutions such as Western Alliance Bank, where she served as senior credit officer, and JP Morgan Chase as VP of its western real estate division. Mike Corominas joins as MD, head of valuations; Garrett Stearns as SVP, originations; Justin Bunch as SVP, loan officer; and David Rubin as VP, loan officer. Stearns formerly served as VP, sales with Genesis Capital, senior acquisitions manager with Anchor Loans and MD with Arico & Associates. Bunch previously served as VP, sales with Genesis Capital, and senior loan officer with Michael Rand & Associates. Rubin holds over a decade of experience in originating and lending as the former head of Northern California office for Anchor Loans. Tom Atmore joins the firm as VP of construction. Atmore previously served as SVP, director of construction loan administration with Luther Burbank Savings and VP, construction risk/asset manager with California Bank & Trust.
