HinesStaffan Unge has been appointed head of the Nordics. Unge will be based in Hines’ Nordic headquarters in Copenhagen. His previous roles include head of investment management at Slättö Forvaltning, country head for Sweden at Barings and head of transactions and business development at Svenska Handelsfastigheter, where he has served as a board member since April 2023.

Greystar – Mary Craddock has been appointed MD, Europe portfolio management, with responsibility for separate client accounts. Craddock will report into Daniel Breeden, who leads the team. Craddock will oversee Greystar’s relationships with its joint venture partners in Europe driving growth and returns for each of the local market build-to-rent or purpose-built student accommodation strategies across Europe. Prior to joining Greystar, Craddock was MD at Lapithus Management where she developed and built the investment and asset management strategy for the Apollo European Core Plus real estate platform. 

MorrisonShane Swords has been appointed head of distribution for Europe. Swords brings more than two decades of experience in infrastructure, fundraising and relationship development. He most recently served as the MD and head of investor relations at NextEnergy Capital. Swords joins Morrison following the appointment of Pat Cunningham and Marvin Richardson as senior advisors in North America. 

NewmarkRobert Younkin and Garrett Meyers have been appointed vice chairmen in the Los Angeles office. Younkin and Meyers join from PGIM Real Estate, where they led a high-volume agency origination team and were instrumental in building the firm’s presence in the manufactured housing space. Prior to that, both worked for PNC Real Estate.  

Slate Asset ManagementSteven Dejonckheere has been promoted to managing director. In this role, Dejonckheere will lead Slate’s global development team and oversee the origination and execution of the firm’s various development projects. Dejonckheere joined Slate in 2019 in the firm’s Toronto office to support Slate’s development business. Since that time, he has been instrumental in growing the firm’s portfolio of development projects and scaling Slate’s development capabilities with a focus on activating large-scale employment and mixed-use master plan projects. 

JLLJames Cameron has been appointed head of energy and infrastructure, Asia Pacific, for the firm’s capital markets business line. The newly created role will be based in Singapore, where he will be responsible for building a team in Asia Pacific. Cameron brings over 25 years of real asset capital markets experience to JLL. Most recently, he was global head of commercial real estate at Standard Chartered Bank, based in Singapore having previously led Standard Chartered’s global power, utilities, infrastructure and cleantech businesses as well as HSBC’s infrastructure and real estate group in Asia Pacific. 

CBRETim Hamilton has been promoted to chief growth officer for the firm’s UK occupier business. In this newly created role, Hamilton will develop and implement CBRE’s UK occupier growth strategy, which will target new client business, grow market share and drive revenue. Hamilton will also be responsible for continuing to develop and expand the firm’s client solutions function across all key occupier services. Hamilton has spent the whole of his 30-year career providing strategic real estate advice to major corporate occupier clients. Most of this time has been with CBRE, however, he also spent five years at Goldman Sachs, leading their corporate real estate transaction strategy and execution across EMEA.

SavillsJoel Gazeres has been appointed to the firm’s operational capital markets division, where he will focus on driving the continued growth of its healthcare and senior living team. With 20 years of experience in healthcare, Gazeres joins from CBRE where he was a director providing transactional and strategic consultancy advice to operators and investors in the healthcare sector.

Colliers — Grzegorz Sielewicz has been appointed head of economic and market insights CEE overseeing Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and Romania. His efforts will centre on further expanding the research platform Colliers has built in recent years, both at the regional and local levels. In addition to traditional market updates, he will focus on forward-looking analysis and integrate wider macroeconomic, political, and social developments into real estate-related insights and strategies to help clients and partners grow their businesses. Sielewicz joins Colliers from Coface where he held the position of head of CEE economic research. Prior to that, he was the chief specialist in the international capital markets division of the Public Debt Department at the Polish Ministry of Finance. His career also includes roles at Deutsche Bank and UniCredit’s Brokerage House.

Cabot PropertiesThomas Schellhorn has been appointed vice president to oversee asset management for Cabot’s operations in Germany and the Netherlands. Justin Harvey, MD and head of UK and Europe, will relocate to Cabot’s London office to continue leading the firm’s overall strategy and operations across Europe. Schellhorn joins Cabot following four years at Catella Real Estate, where he served as a senior asset manager overseeing logistics properties and advising on acquisition and sustainability assessments. His experience in the German logistics real estate space has also spanned several leadership roles at logistics and facility management firms including RLI Investors, Prologis Germany, DIW Instandhaltung, and the HOCHTIEF Group.

Madison Realty CapitalBrad Cohen has joined the firm as MD and head of asset and portfolio management. In this role, Cohen will oversee the firm’s portfolio monitoring and risk assessment processes in addition to implementing and managing asset management strategies to maximise performance. He is based in New York and will report to Brian Shatz and Josh Zegen, co-founders and managing principals of Madison Realty Capital. Cohen most recently served as senior MD, chief credit officer, and head of servicing and asset management for debt investments at Affinius Capital, formerly known as Square Mile Capital. Before joining Square Mile Capital in 2013, Cohen worked with private investors to acquire CMBS B-pieces. From 1998 to 2008, he served as a MD UBS’s commercial real estate group. Prior to that he was a senior manager at KPMG’s real estate transaction group.

Parkview Financial – Dhaval Parikh has been appointed MD, head of capital raising and investor relations. Parikh joins Parkview from Ares Management, where he was a MD responsible for capital raising and investor relations for the firm’s real estate debt platform. Before joining Ares in 2017, Parikh served as a director at MetLife Investment Management, focused on business development and investor relations for real estate. Earlier in his career, Parikh was a director at BlackRock, where he concentrated on product development, business development and investor relations for the firm’s real estate platform.

Savills Investment Management – Michael Neal has been appointed global CIO for equity investment. Neal has joined the company’s global executive committee and reports to Alex Jeffrey, chief executive. This appointment follows the departure of Andrew Allen from Savills IM. Previously, Neal has held senior roles at Nuveen, where he was most recently as CIO of EMEA and head of fund management.

Knight Frank – The global real estate adviser has appointed Giulia Grigolato as head of global portfolio solutions, EMEA. Joining from JLL, Grigolato brings over 13 years of experience in corporate real estate strategy and portfolio management. Her expertise spans real estate development, asset management, corporate advisory, and account management.

Schroders Capital – Peter Lowe has been promoted to head of UK real estate investment. Lowe will retain his existing fund management responsibilities. In his new role, Lowe will work closely with Nick Montgomer, global head of real estate and Rebecca Gates, the head of UK real estate asset management. 

Target Fund Managers – The investment manager of Target Healthcare REIT has appointed James MacKenzie to the newly created role of head of investor relations. MacKenzie will lead investor relations function, with a particular focus on growing and broadening its capital partner base, including on behalf of Target Fund Managers. MacKenzie will also work closely with the executive team to grow the business’s footprint, across both existing and new strategies, supporting the future shape and direction of the business. MacKenzie brings over 20 years of corporate advisory, relationship management and corporate governance experience. Most recently he was general counsel and company secretary at Aegon UK and has also built experience from working at other blue chip financial services companies including Alliance Trust Equity Partners and F&C Asset Management.

Evonite – Robert Gilchrist and Vanessa Sloan have been appointed non-executive directors. Gilchrist will become non-executive chairman of the partnership. Gilchrist was instrumental in creating one of the first limited partnerships to enable global investors to access European real estate whilst at MIM Property Services, and subsequently PRICOA. From there Gilchrist became a founder partner in 2003, and subsequently CEO of Rockspring. He led the business until its sale to Patrizia in 2018 and since then has remained connected to the real estate industry through non-executive director and advisory committee roles. Sloan has nearly 20 years’ experience in the real estate industry as both an investor and advisor. During her time in the industry, Sloan has held senior positions at international investors including Stepstone Group, Townsend Group, National Pension Service for South Korea and Deutsche Finance.

Bidwells – The real estate adviser has appointed Kate Brennan and Robert Sheldon as partners within its operational living division. Brennan brings over 22 years of experience in the residential property market, most recently leading the living consultancy team at Montagu Evans. Sheldon brings 13 years of experience, most recently as a partner in residential investments at Knight Frank.

ULITerri Seow has been appointed to take on the role of executive director for Singapore. Seow was formerly at BBC Global News for over 16 years, where she was VP, marketing and insights, Asia Pacific. Seow who joins ULI in Asia Pacific, was also formerly the Going Green lead at the BBC, where she was responsible for raising awareness of environmental sustainability for over two years.  

CREFC EuropeHenri Vuong has been appointed chair of diversity, equity, and inclusion committee. Vuong, who has served on the association’s women’s network committee since June 2023, is an executive director and head of debt investment research at PGIM, a position she has held since November 2020. 

Periskop Partners – Dominik Brambring has been appointed managing partner of Periskop Opportunities. Before joining Periskop Partners, Brambring spent 11 years at PGIM Real Estate Germany, where he most recently served as MD and head of Germany. His prior roles include MD and co-head of Germany at the Blackstone. He began his career at JLL, advising institutional investors on acquisitions and portfolio sales in Germany and Switzerland. Additionally, he worked for several years at Europa Capital Partners, focusing on acquisitions in Germany, Austria, Poland and Scandinavia.
