Nuveen has acquired an onshore wind portfolio of up to 493.2MW with 144MW of integrated storage systems, alongside three standalone battery assets, in a series of transactions in Italy.
The onshore wind portfolio and integrated storage systems developed by Gruppo Hope, comprising six projects in the Italian regions of Latium, Apulia and Tuscany, have been acquired by Nuveen via its power producer Verdian.
Nuveen has also acquired three battery storage assets with a cumulative capacity of 280MW, comprising a 90MW standalone project in Campania and the rights to two fully permitted 190MW projects in Puglia.
