Infrastructure manager Infranity has acted as anchor investor in a €700m financing round for Pure Data Centres, contributing €250m to support the developer’s global expansion.
The Oaktree Capital Management-backed hyperscale data centre developer will use the capital to advance its international platform.
Pure DC currently controls a 1GW portfolio of operational and in-development capacity across Europe and international markets, backed by long-term hyperscale contracts.
Georgios Tzimas, investment executive director at Infranity, said: “We are pleased to support Pure DC and Oaktree in the continued development of an international hyperscale data centre platform.
“This investment reflects Infranity’s strategy of backing essential, asset-intensive infrastructure supported by long-term demand fundamentals. It also demonstrates our ability to provide sizeable and flexible capital solutions to established sponsors and management teams as they deliver the next phase of their growth.”
Mike Schwartz, CFO of Pure DC, said: “The participation of new investors such as Infranity reflects confidence in our strategy, ability to execute, assets, customer relationships and delivery record.
“We’re grateful to Infranity and pleased to welcome them to the platform. This facility gives us tremendous flexibility as we continue to scale the business and advance our pipeline.”
