Former Octopus Real Estate director Dominic Gibson and JSK Capital founder John Kerrigan have partnered to establish a new real estate debt and equity advisory firm.
The pair have launched Beckford Advisory to provide tailored funding solutions for investors and developers, serving both UK and international clients.
Gibson previously held the positions of fund manager and investment director at Octopus Real Estate. Prior to that, he managed a pan-European private equity real estate debt fund and worked for five years in JLL’s national investment team.
JSK Capital founder Kerrigan has experience in UK and international real estate markets, including managing a £500m (€604.6m) UK portfolio and a 5,000-asset mixed-use portfolio in the Middle East.
Gibson, partner at Beckford Advisory, said: “Funders are more cautious than ever given the headwinds that they have faced since 2020 and the challenges facing investors and developers are daunting. Our ambition is for Beckford Advisory to provide clients with funding solutions, leaving them free to focus on their core business activities.
“Having structured over £1.5bn of real estate funding through multiple market cycles, I’m excited to use my expertise to support clients in navigating today’s dynamic lending landscape.”
Kerrigan, partner, Beckford Advisory, said: “Beckford Advisory is uniquely positioned to deliver strategic funding solutions. We offer the rare ability to understand funding requirements from a lender and investor perspective having worked on both sides of the market.
“With our combined 30 years of experience and £3bn of completed funding, we’ve developed our deep understanding of the market from all angles, so we look forward to delivering the best possible funding solutions for our clients as we grow with them.”
