Teacher Retirement System of Texas has approved a $150m (€130.1m) commitment to a North American energy and power infrastructure fund managed by ArcLight Capital Partners.
The pension fund disclosed making the commitment to the ArcLight Infrastructure Partners Fund VIII fund in a summary of its February investment activity.
Teacher Retirement System of Texas said it allocated its commitment to the opportunistic segment of its infrastructure portfolio.
Based on SEC filings, ArcLight had secured $2.8bn for its fund as of January this year.
ArcLight is seeking to raise $3bn for its eighth fund to invest in a range of infrastructure, including wind, solar, battery and gas assets.
