FixMap, a Polish fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) operator owned by Arcus Infrastructure Partners’s third European fund, is acquiring Skynet to expand its network in the Warsaw metropolitan area.
Skynet is a regional FTTH operator with 56,000 homes passed and 19,000 homes connected across the Greater Warsaw area. Its network is geographically adjacent to the footprints of four existing FixMap subsidiaries operating in and around Warsaw.
Arcus said the acquisition of Skynet represents the 23rd acquisition for FixMap and the third completed since the platform was acquired by Arcus European Infrastructure Fund 3 (AEIF3).
Financial details were not disclosed.
Christopher Ehrke, partner and head of digital at Arcus, said: “Consolidation of the fragmented Polish FTTH market remains FixMap’s strategic priority. The acquisition of Skynet as a high-quality regional operator will further strengthen FixMap’s presence and positioning in the Greater Warsaw area.
“This marks the third acquisition under AEIF3’s ownership, following the acquisitions of Internet Union and Stimo.Net and we continue to actively engage with a robust M&A pipeline of other regional Polish network operators, successfully delivering on FixMap’s buy-and-build strategy.”
