Commerz Real, acting on behalf of its impact real assets focused fund, has paid an undisclosed sum to buy an 18MW wind farm in western France from BayWa re.

The manager said it has bought Tout Vent in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region on behalf of its Klimavest impact fund.

Timo Werner, fund manager for Klimavest, said the deal diversified the fund’s portfolio, adding that Klimavest is planning to acquire additional wind and solar assets in France. 

Klimavest, Germany’s first impact fund for private investors which focuses on real assets. Klimavest was launched in November last year. The fund’s portfolio includes wind farms in Germany and Sweden and a solar farm in Spain.
