Elda River Capital Management has partnered with Liberty Mutual Investments (LMI) to launch a real assets credit strategy targeting up to $500m (€445m) of investment.
The partnership, which builds on an existing relationship between the two firms, will provide senior credit solutions to middle-market borrowers across core real assets sectors, including energy infrastructure, power and renewables, and energy efficiency.
Adam Daley, managing partner and co-founder of Elda River, said: “We are proud to partner with LMI to launch this highly flexible credit strategy. LMI has been a valued, long-standing partner, and this strategic partnership is an exciting extension of that relationship.
“We look forward to leveraging both firms’ collective capabilities to capitalise on an exceptional opportunity set in the middle market across our core energy and infrastructure sectors.”
LMI, which manages over $130bn in global capital for Liberty Mutual Group, will deploy the capital alongside Elda River as part of an ongoing expansion and diversification of its energy and infrastructure and alternative credit platforms.
John Kim, head of alternative credit at LMI, said: “We are excited to work alongside Elda River to capitalise on an attractive opportunity set in the energy and infrastructure credit markets.
“This commitment reinforces the breadth and strength of LMI’s platform in providing a diverse array of credit solutions side-by-side with our strategic partners.”
Charley Poole, head of energy and infrastructure at LMI, said: “We’re seeing robust secular growth across energy supply, electrification, grid stability, re-industrialisation and digitalisation, creating a clear industry need for tailored credit solutions over the long term.
“LMI’s flexible approach allows us to move quickly to partner with Elda River, a leader with deep expertise in the space, and support its continued growth.”
