Commerz Real has bought a 7.3MW German wind farm for its newly launched real assets impact fund Klimavest.

The manager has invested an undisclosed amount to buy the Heinsberg wind farm of three Nordex wind turbines from Energiekontor, the developer which Commerz Real had also recently bought a wind farm in Beckum in the Münsterland region from, also for the Klimavest fund.

Klimavest is the first impact fund in Germany focusing on real assets for private investors.

The open-ended fund is expected to put together not less than a €25bn portfolio of renewable energy, sustainable infrastructure, mobility and forestry assets.
