Brookfield has become the sole owner of Brazilian high-voltage power company Mantiqueira Transmissora by acquiring Vinci’s 50% stake.

Cobra IS, a subsidiary of French infrastructure and construction firm Vinci, said it has sold its 50% stake in the company that holds the public-private partnership for the 1,200km high-voltage line to the Canadian fund manager for €130m.

Mantiqueira Transmissora has 18 substations and crosses 50 municipalities in the State of Minas Gerais.

As part of the agreement, Cobra IS will continue to operate and maintain the line.
