Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, Catella, Schroders, Kames Capital, Landmark Partners, First Base
Canada Pension Plan Investment Board – Andrea Orlandi has been promoted to managing director and head of real estate investments for Europe. Orlandi, who joined CPPIB in 2011, has been responsible for real estate investment activities on a pan-European basis and in India. He replaced Wenzel Hoberg who has taken a leave of absence after seven years at the Canadian institution.
Catella – Thomas Beyerle has been appointed group head of research. Beyerle will have a cross-company role and work with the group’s 11-country property advisory operations, as well as with its property advisory and German property fund unit. Beyerle, who was previously at IVG Immobilien, has also been appointed managing director of Catella’s property valuation division. He will be based in Frankfurt.
Schroders –Tom Walker and Hugo Machin are joining the company as fund managers and will lead the new global property securities team, as reported here. Walker and Machin were previously at AMP Capital. Schroders said that Ben Forster will also transfer to the new team as a fund analyst from its multi-manager team.
Landmark Partners – Geoffrey Mullen has been appointed as a principal with the firm. Mullen joins the private equity and real estate secondaries manager from Morgan Stanley Alternative Investment Partners.
Kames Capital – Iain Corker and Chris Munday have been appointed as asset managers. Corker was previously a senior surveyor in DTZ’s retail asset management team. Munday joins Kames from Valad Europe where he managed a £150m mixed portfolio of commercial properties in London and the southeast.
First Base – Manish Enaker has been appointed as head of investment at the London developer. Enaker was previously at Grosvenor Estate.
