INREV has appointed Mercer’s Stephen Ryan as research manager.
Ryan previously spent 10 years at Mercer as an investment consultant, advising pension fund trustees and institutional clients on real estate investment strategy.
He will research pension funds’ attitudes towards real estate, investment performance and cost transparency across non-listed and listed structures.
INREV said Ryan would also oversee a management fees study.
The move comes as the association prepares to implement an updated business strategy.
Meanwhile, Constantin Sorlescu joins INREV as professional standards manager, coordinating industry guidelines globally with a specific focus on NAV, fee and expense metrics, performance measurement and property valuation.
Before joining INREV, Sorlescu was previously a senior analyst at Prologis.
Lastly, Arvydas Jadevicius has been appointed research analyst, with responsibility for projects with affiliate associations ANREV, NCREIF and PREA.
Jadevicius was previously a real estate investment and economics lecturer at the UK’s Royal Agricultural University.
