Syntrus Achmea, Altera, Patrizia Immobilien, Savills IM, JLL
Syntrus Achmea – Jaap Van der Bijl is leaving the firm to take up the role of chief executive at Altera Vastgoed. Van der Bijl will replace René Hogenboom who will remain with Altera until year end. Van der Bijl has been head of investor relations at Syntrus Achmea since 2013. He has also worked for AXA Real Estate.
Patrizia Immobilien – Etienne Marcot will become the new managing director of Patrizia France. He will take over from Silvio Estienne and Bruno Cohen, who have left the management team. Marcot most recently worked for the pan-European financial services provider N+1. From 2007 to 2014, he was a partner and chief executive of STAM Europe, based in Paris.
Savills Investment Management – Charlie Hamilton and Shaun Widgery have joined the firm’s London team. Hamilton will assist in ongoing project monitoring, as well as deal sourcing and appraisal on London residential funds and investment mandates. Widgery, part of Savills IM’s development management team, will focus on the identification, mitigation and management of development risk.
JLL – Christian Ulbrich, who has held the role of president since June, will assume the position of chief executive from October. Ulbrich will succeed Colin Dyer, who will retire from JLL at the end of 2016 and step down as chief executive on 30 September. Ulbrich joined JLL in 2005 as managing director of JLL Germany and has served as EMEA chief executive since 2009, before being named president. Megan Walters will head research for Asia Pacific from October. and oversee a team of 160 researchers across the region. Walters is the head of research, Asia Pacific capital markets in Singapore. She takes over from Jane Murray, who has led the JLL Asia Pacific research since 2005. Murray leaves to pursue new opportunities.
