Deutsche Asset Management – Victoria Sharpe has joined as managing director and head of real estate, Asia Pacific. Sharpe, who will be based in Singapore, was head of the global client capital group at TH Real Estate. She will report to Pierre Cherki, head of alternatives. Sharpe has also held positions at PGIM. Rahul Ghai has been appointed head of transactions, Asia Pacific.
British Property Federation – David Sleath, the chief executive of Segro, has been named president of the BPF. Sleath will succeed Hermes Real Estate’s Chris Taylor. The BPF has appointed Rob Noel, chief executive of Land Securities, as its new junior vice president. Noel will take over the position from Oxford Properties’ Paul Brundage.
LaSalle Investment Management – Alok Gaur will be joining the firm as co-head of its client capital group. Gaur will be based in LaSalle’s headquarters in Chicago, and will jointly lead the 35-person global client relationship, capital raising, branding and public relations team with Jon Zehner in London. Gaur was most recently managing director and partner at The Carlyle Group.
Avison Young – Nicolai Baumann becomes head of leasing in Berlin. He will also head up Avison Young’s office agency operations in the German capital. Baumann was most recently a team leader with Engel & Völkers Commercial in Berlin. Sebastian Scherer, Katharina Biermann, Sanja Palija and Nadine Makinist have also joined the firm. Scherer joins as director of leasing in Berlin from Angermann Real Estate Advisory. Biermann and Palija join as senior consultants and were most recently consultants at Engel & Völkers Commercial. Makinist joins Avison Young as an administrative assistant. She previously worked at Angermann Real Estate Advisory.
